Would rather us get beat trying than a repeat of that god awful farce in the last NLD.

Kane, Dele, Ndombele and Lo celso owe us a good 90 minute performance

There's rare occasions where it's fine, for example our matches with Orient to raise money for Justin Edinburgh's charity, but most of the time they're the equivalent of asking friends or family going on holiday to buy a Hard Rock Cafe tshirt to add to the collection

Not that I would know what that's like...

    Alasdair Gold's predicted lineup
Lloris; Tanganga, Romero, Dier, Reguilon; Ndombele, Hojbjerg, Alli; Lucas, Kane, Son

Personally I wouldn't be surprised if we played the Christmas Tree again, with Kane and either Lo Celso or Dele behind Son

Got to be worried that there's only Hojbjerg offering any defensive cover!
Unless Ndombele has metamorphosised over 96 hours of course...

I think it's more a case of Dele over Skipp in this instance.

Risky, but at least it suggests a) An attack minded intentional start. b) Some solid options to change and/or hold things from the bench if need be.

We can't quite say he's Mourinho mkII anymore. Very positive line up. Winks doesn't even make the bench. Mourinho would never.

Worth noting Nuno has only lost once in the league against Arsenal in 6 matches. Maybe that'll count for something.

Looks like a 4-3-3. I'd have been happier with a 4-2-3-1 myself, with Skipp instead of Dele, but at least it looks like we mean to do some damage and not just sit back in wait.

The obvious presumption about Dele starting is we're hoping for some ****ehousery

Would've preferred Lo Celso over Ndombele to increase the chances of that

It is true that Dele is one of the squad who definitely understands the importance of this game.

Here's hoping some of his magic comes back, despite him being further down the pitch.

Silly decision either way though I’d say as Skipp offers us so much more than Dele at present. The latter is literally a passenger and has been for three straight years, Skipp on the other hand has put in a number of solid performances already this season and also allows Hojbjerg a bit more of a free role which he seems to excel in with Denmark.

With Ndombele and Dele in that three man midfield, we’ve got one guy who runs out of steam after 45 mins and one guy who does pretty much nothing for 90. Think there’s going to be too much asked from Hojbjerg to carry and compensate for the pair.

Skipp to replace either Dele or Tqnguy after 60 mins... we might be in front by then.

One thing about the bench is it does offer us the ability to adjust our system with subs, instead of only having like-for-like options as we've often seen in the ECL

Skippy can come on and ping balls from deep
Lo Celso can come on and add some grit to midfield
Gil can come on and add trickery
Emerson can come on and add additional options out wide

It's possible to switch to 343 or 442 with our bench, if we wanted to
