I'll respond to this here, because I don't want to derail the tribute thread, but I'd like to chip in. We simply can't go out and sign the best players now. They won't join a team that's not in the Champions League and won't pay the highest wages. If we went for Haaland next summer, for example, then we'd have no chance of getting him.
Who's willing to spend vast amounts of money with no return on their investment? I doubt it. Feel free to offer some current examples, though.
Given his track record of tanking Tesla's value not because they're flammable deathtraps that have a nasty habit of deciding they want to drive through a path of pedestrians 90 degrees removed from where you want to drive but because he thinks their share value is "too high", I dread to imagine what he'd do if he thinks our league position is "too high" Mark Hughes'll be manager in time for Pointless
Anthony Martial is reportedly available this January It'd be nice if he played as a RW at some point in the last two years, really it would...
With SpaceX and new WHL retractable pitch, in Elon I trust to realise my childhood dream of Thunderbird 1/3 happening for real in my lifetime. < FAB >
Sule's out of contract next summer, so I assume these "leaked" messages are to do with that. Started the season well with Bayern, by all accounts, so an extension may be under negotiation. He's had quite a few injury issues, apparently.
I mean it's not the first thing I think of when somebody uses the terms "leaked" and "Der Spiegel"...
Maybe I am bring harsh but if he is not good enough to get into the Southampton side (who are not hoping for top 6) why would he be good enough to get into our side (who are hoping for a top 6 finish)?
