This was my Facebook status from 10 years ago today..... Sniff Reporter:..." Steve, with all the millions you've spent and the signings of Brown and O'Shea from Manchseter United, how far away from a good side are you?" Steve Bruce..." Oh, about 13 miles "
Key players? we only have 4 of them. Can you imagine them picking 2 teams out of our squad for training matches - Dubs, Wilson, ASM and Willock 1st 4 picks, the rest are like the fat ginger kid at school who had the longing and hopeful look on his face that he wouldn't be picked last.
I will absolutely guarantee even a ****ing hammering wouldn't see him gone. Nothing is going to remove him, except a change of ownership. We're going to get beat today, there's no point getting angry because nothing will change. I'm not watching, as usual, saves me any anguish. I go from "meh" if we win, to "meh" with a smirk if we lose.
So we need to win. But more so Bruce needs the win. Let’s see if he gets it right. The setup is key. Appreciate he has a ready made excuse in injuries but that’s just tough luck. He has to win today. A draw or a defeat and he’s cannon fodder.
Guarantee 5-4-1. No idea who he'll pick, at least 4 will be out of position of course. Think he might go with Manq, Krafth, Fede, Clark, Ritchie as a 5 man mess. Then Murphy right, Hayden, Longstaff and Joe on the left(or something equally ****ing baffling) with ASM up front.
Nah, he's got to pick ASM, but it'll be a load of **** and wont work. I've never seen a manager who thinks it's quicker to run up the pitch than pass it. He's a ****ing Grade A moron. A flexible 4-3-3 is probably best.
