Favourite Sandwich, Sarnie, Sannie, Sambo?

By popular demand (well, just Saff actually) I hereby declare this thread to the wonderful and fatally overlooked delight that is the humble sandwich, sarnie, sannie, sambo (inclusivity is essential in this day and age).

1) Double Gloucester with red onion chutney

3) Chips and ketchup

 

Cheddar and Cheese and Onion crisps on batch loaf, the king of sambos.

Brie with cranberry in a panini is rather lovely.

 

Technically you can't get "a panini" because panini is the plural of panino. I expected better from you.

I can't believe you popped in on that one, Mon. I've been leaving abstract errors in many of my recent posts, yet it was the most glaring that caught you in my pop-snare. Doh!

I had veg pakora in a big nan bread the other night, pakora from Morrisons deli counter. Was pretty good but nothing like as good as I remember from the kebab shops outside Clapham South tube station.

 

Every one of them a raving ****tah.

 

One thing I love about the game is how when some particular stats come up, "scoring the fastest century at Trent Bridge" or whatever, today's player will slot in somewhere among all these famous names often going back 100 years. They are still with us. All a bit Field of Dreamsy.
