My girlfriend is a typographer, I could be here all day listing the stuff in her collection. Tschichold's Die neue Typographie is a favourite.

The only fault i can really find in the film is that it left out the ending. I read the book first and it was just a bit annoying knowing that it cut off before the actual ending. Other than that, the film is amazing!

I like King, but not all of his books.

The Stand, The Shining and It are 3 of his best, Dolores Clairborne was boring, same as Rose Madder, the Dark Tower series was great, my brother hated it though.

I like the way in most of his books they are in the same state Maine, so if you read them in order, there will be flashbacks of things that have happened in his previous books (water tower in Derry collapsing, The eclipse in Dolores clairborne and Geralds game etc etc)

Most of his books are quite hard going, Blood Meridian was but it is worth persuavering with. The Road I found was his easiest book to get into. All the Pretty Horses is another book that you have to work at a bit but is still good. I like the language and how atmospheric his books are.

The Shining was a bit of a let down I admit, but thought Pet Semetary was gripping... extremely disturbing but gripping...

I love Typography, it's my geeky interest so to speak apart from film and screen design.

The film sort of left you wondering what happens next, which annoys me to a degree because the book goes further and shows Alex go back to his old ways then changes.

Some critics have cited that Hargreaves' intelligent use of the lampost, a provider of the everyday necessity that is light, is allegorical for man's dependence on an free market system and the love-hate relationship we experience, the ongoing battle between consumerism and the ever increasing defecit.

Freud would see it as some form of penis that his mother desires

Speaking of which, Freud's The Interpretation of Dreams is an interesting read.

All my mates thought psychology was gonna be a hoot after the first lesson when the teacher was talking about oral and anal... then they realised it was a totally different meaning. They all say Freud was one sick **** hahah

That the one where he talks about dreams being an insight to our unconscious desires? Wouldn't mind reading that.

Anything by Orwell and Roald Dahl (his adult shorts are brilliant!)

Also really like a lad called Conn Igludon. Writes historical novels. Very easy reading and interesting, perfect if you just want to have something by the bed to fall asleep with.

The Emporer series is about the life of Julius Caesar, the Conqueror series follows Genghis Khan. I'd highly recommend them!

Yep, that's the one. It's good, if a little strange in parts and you have to keep it in your mind that a lot of his assertions are based on ideas that have been disproven since.
