I'm going to go out on a limb here, I reckon there is 2 deals agreed - one with PIF waiting to go ahead if CAT case hearing goes ahead, making everything good, and another one agreed if it doesn't go ahead with a different party all together that won't be as wealthy. Either way, I reckon new owners by Christmas.
That ****ing moron was convinced it’d be done by July. Things like this, regardless of court claims, make me think he’s just taking the piss out of the lot of us.
PL argument has pretty much been all along that anyone with any say or authority on the day to day running of the football club in this particular takeover should be made to sit the owner and directors test (MBS). Can anyone then explain to me how the hell SkySports and Bein Sports directors and programming executives aren't made to sit these tests? As they have a hell of a lot of say on the day to day running of football clubs - fixture changes, kick off times, even resorting to financial blackmail during the pandemic.
It's only a few months mate.. Just try to hang in there.. You'll still be alive most likely anyway by the time it goes through That's the way to approach this
Just feels like it’s on the edge of the takeover then delay delay delay and even if they come in are we even going be good
There's a battle taking place... There will be a winner. If our leaders haven't lost then they're still in the fight.
When the PL fail to get CAT thrown out they will push for settlement. Make no mistake - CAT is a Pandoras box that they want to keep a lid on. Everton, Leicester Aston Villa, West Ham et al all have an interest in this going ahead. Evidence of six clubs attempting to restrict competition will come out along with deals with certain broadcast partners.
It's nearly October... Nufc has big games coming up and that's a key front on the battle ground. The CAT case going ahead is another one. Don't put the carriage before the horse!!
I'd just like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that for months and months I said that it won't ever get to court.
In addition the fact the club have a former premier league chairman with evidence that Richard Masters held independent meetings with only the chairmen of the Big 5 and wannabe Spurs before every official PL meeting and that all other 14 chairmen discussed this between themselves will blow a massive lid off the whole ESL and how much the EPL knew about it.
I think the Premier league argument will likely be "We're a private members club, our members have to follow our rules if they wish to remain members, no-body forces them to become members or remain members" which, once upon a time before they sold their souls to tv companies for huge chunks of cash may have worked when the business was reliant on fans paying on the gate but I don't think it should wash in this day and age.
