Can anyone answer why having a passport from a vaccine that doesn't stop you getting CV, nor pass it on, is required to go into a restaurant?

    What is the point?

a double vaccination reduces the chance of passing on covid, if you do still get covid then a double vaccination reduces the chance of you getting seriously ill or dying
think of it like a seat belt: it reduces the chance of you getting injured in a crash but it's not 100% certain you wont get injured
    it's quite easy to understand

Peter, between this time last year with no vax and this time this year with a vax, there's 10 times the amount of cases, 5 times the amount in hospital and 3 times the amount of deaths.

The vaccine is ****, the real world evidence shows us this, not what the BEEB tells us, not what Big Pharma tells us, the real world data tells us that natural immunity is better than any ****ting vaccine.

The ONS and PHE say that data isn't available, but there's nothing to suggest that an Israeli's immune system is any more robust than a UK citizen.

vaccinations only started in December 2020.
there was a lockdown in 2020.
since there has been a lot of vaccinations the deaths have been a lot less even with no lockdown.

This time, last year, there was no lockdown and hadn't been since June. In fact, we'd just done the whole month of August with the "eat out to help out" scheme and had less cases than now.

The vaxxine is ****. That's why you need a booster, and the more boosters you get, the ****ter it gets.

England was in national lockdown between late March and June 2020.

On the 14 October, the Government rationalised local restrictions by introducing a “three tier system”. At first most of the country was placed in tier one, under similar restrictions to the previous national rules. As time went on, more of the country was placed in the higher two tiers.

On 5 November, national restrictions were reintroduced in England.

On 2 December, the tier system was reintroduced (with modifications). Restrictions on hospitality businesses were stricter and most locations were initially placed in tiers two and three. On 19 December, the Prime Minister announced that a new ‘tier four’ would be introduced following concerns about a rising number of coronavirus cases attributed to a new variant of the virus. The tier four rules were similar to those imposed during the second national lockdown. On 30 December, after the first tiering review under the new four tier system, around 75% of the country was placed under tier four restrictions.

Following concerns that the four-tier system was not containing the spread of the new variant of the virus, national restrictions were reintroduced for a third time on 6 January. The rules during the third lockdown were more like the rules in the first lockdown.

On 8 March 2021, England began a phased exit out of lockdown.

England moved to step two restrictions on the 12 April,

    https://commonslibrary.parliament.uk/research-briefings/cbp-9068/

On 19 July 21 many restrictions were lifted.

My timelines of the lockdowns are a lot more complete than your selective information

That's a lot of words just for you to say that the vaccine is ****.

No LD from June, next to no deaths or hospitalizations and very few cases and no vaccine.
Fast-forward a year and July 19's Freedom Day, more cases, more hospitalizations and more deaths *WITH A VACCINE*

Here's a spoiler for you Pete, cases will skyrocket in the winter if the Govt continue to pursue their testing strategy of testing folk who are not ill and they'll blame it on the non-vaxxed despite the non-vaxxed being unlikely to get tested at all.

How well do the COVID-19 vaccines work?
Anyone who gets COVID-19 can become seriously ill or have long-term effects (long COVID). The COVID-19 vaccines are the best way to protect yourself and others.

Research has shown the vaccines help:

reduce your risk of getting seriously ill or dying from COVID-19
reduce your risk of catching or spreading COVID-19
    protect against COVID-19 variants
The 1st dose should give you some protection from 3 or 4 weeks after you've had it. But you need 2 doses for stronger and longer-lasting protection.

There is a chance you might still get or spread COVID-19 even if you have a vaccine, so it's important to follow advice about how to avoid catching and spreading COVID-19.

I liked how some tabloids were describing the last "circuit breaker" as a "short, sharp shock" which is exactly what you shouldn't get if a circuit breaker works.
