Well, I wouldn’t say that at all but given how we’ve started, we are currently in a good place. We started pretty well last season too!
Thiago injury, soft tissue Elliott injury, impact injury Firmino injury, soft tissue injury. Neco William's foot injury. TAA ill. This will determine our positions we move through the group stage game, have a quick breather then hit the festive chaos. If we can come to January still standing then that's where we will need the squad. We can power along imo up to boxing day but we are usually snagged.out then recover a bit and then get a head of steam for the run in. Just think we need to build a lead again this season like 2 seasons ago then use it. League cup is a distraction, can be a fun one. Fa cup will be a distraction, potentially a disastrous one.
think we all know that Klopp won’t prioritise either cup. Players will be rotated. I’ve been impressed that he’s started to rotate so early this season. to build a lead, we need to keep winning but we need others to drop points…all of them. I think it’s more likely that 2 or 3 teams will build a lead to the others this season….can’t see anyone running away with it.
Not impressed so far with city. Not impressed with utd but it depends on fixtures. They will get a groove until agent ole knickers half of them. Chelsea will be absolutely there or there abouts as lukaku will beat up the **** teams where physicality matters and mistakes are there. Leicester are already struggling. Everton are just ticking along but will fall off as the fixtures pick up for them too. Brighton? Yeah sure they are delighted to get 40 points and will have that inevitable sit back and relax moment.(doing great and its delightful) Spurs will defend well and run along ok but wont be that close by the end Villa and west ham are best of rest. If we can get a 6 or 8 points gap during the cl (hard to do with our group) then we can really exploit it. If we are level on boxing day then the jan/Feb slog will be where the title is set up.
Just a reasoning. Our team spine. Alisson Vvd Fabinho Salah Our creators trent and robbo. If you fill in round that with matip/gomez, Henderson/thiago and up front with jota and mane it is a team that can challenge anyone. But those 4 are key. Keep all 4 fit through out and we can challenge. That's my rationale, and my faith in vvd and alisson
City have been slow getting into their groove for the last two seasons, I wouldn’t discount them quite yet. Their squad quality in depth keeps them in the hunt imo, same goes for Chelsea, though I feel that the latter may draw a few too many games as the season goes on. The same should apply to Utd tbh but they haven’t convinced me yet. Not that I want them too.
37 minutes in and I can remember Lukaku having around 2 or 3 touches. He hardly busts a gut to press does he.
Rapist gets away with everything. I really do think they need to start awarding red cards retroactively for diving. After game red card people when they dive. People like Rapenaldo will just keep diving until league decides to do something about it.
Flat track bully that will be sold next year and they will try very very hard for haaland. The transfer was done without care for money and just to win this season. Lucky can score v **** sides but any real defenses and the pace, and control issues quickly become apparent.
Like I said, they will have played away at Anfield and Tottenham, plus against City next week and come out of that joint top of the league
You the rest of the side are rock solid. Absolute cheats and well drilled. Azpi, jorginho etc. The only weak links are when lads like Christensen have to play.
Spurs are **** and Kane cant run anymore. That 125 million offer they may live to regret not taking it
