    Sounds very positive?
A very young side, and weren't Swansea years ahead of us with their youth set up not that long ago?
A(nother) sign of real progress on that front?

Thought I'd give me two p'orth on last night for anyone who wasn't there.

Swansea's first league game of the season and it was evident in the opening 15-20 mins. They were a very young side.
Hull overall the better side for much of the game,

Cartwright. Made a couple of decents stops. One in each half. Didn;t have a lot to do. Not so much a comment about last night but generally,, he rarely if ever fields the ball cleanly to hands when making a save. If he hopes to progress then he needs to do this or will get crucified when playing at a higher level.

Nixon. Has been made captain and you can see why. Leads by example and seems to be a good talker. Quietly assured display defensively and going forward. Looks an asset. Unfortunate for him that Coyle and Emmanuel are between him and first XI.

Fleming. Decent performance from him. Solid game.

Lovick. Continues to develop. Strong and competitive as usual. Good game.

Mills. Protected the Hull goal well resrtricting visitors to long range efforts for most of the game, despite struggling at times to contain Swansea no.10 Rio Campbell who was difficult to read and contain and arguably Swansea's best player.

    Taylor. See above.

Snelgrove. Not his greatest gameb but always looking to be a threat to defenders. I like this lad a lot.

Green. Subbed early before he had time to make an impact.

Hinds. Worked hard and was a nuisance to Swansea defence from the whistle. Decent showing from him.

    Beckett. Steady without being spectacular.

Jarvis. Very quiet first half and exciting and entertaining in the second. This lad has a ridiculous amount of ability but seems to be unable to produce it other than in spurts. A fantastic curled effort in the top corner from the corner of the box for his goal was followed by some superb touches and runs of absolute class. If he can find some proper consistency then this boy will become a very special footballer.

Wallis (on for Green 18mins). Worked hard for the team.

Curtis (on for Fleming 60m). Solid defending and some positive contributions to the attack. Did well,

Flynn Clark first attended the Tigers Trust in 2016 under the disability banner due to him being profoundly deaf.

Flynn was initially a shy character during the initial sessions that he attended with his brother Aaron.

His confidence soon grew, however, with support from Premier League Kicks Disability Lead Officer Millie Sharp.

Millie was soon able to identify that Flynn was excelling in the disability sessions and wanted him to gain the best possible experience from the Trust.

From this, he was signposted towards the Premier League Kicks programme.

The Premier League Kicks project has been running in the most high-need areas of Hull since September 2010, engaging with over 2,000 participants each year.

Flynn has now built up brilliant relationships and has great rapport with staff and regularly attends the city-wide sessions.

Kayleigh Jackson, Social Inclusion Manager, has worked closely with Flynn and says he has “come on leaps and bounds” since his first involvement with the Trust.

“Flynn and I have a great relationship and I hugely respect his positive attitude and determination despite the challenges he faces with communication," she said.

"He really is a great role model for younger participants to look up to. He encourages other participants and he’s a little gem to be around.”

His reliability has now been replicated in his duties as a Matchball Assistant for Hull City during home matches, a role in which he has hugely impressed.

We are also now proud to have him volunteering on sessions, helping communicate with other participants through sign language.

    Thank you, Flynn.

Harvey Cartwright has joined Gainsborough (Northern Premier League) on loan. Good luck to him.

Good appointment. Also didn’t realise that Neil Sullivan was the goalkeeping coach for the U18s, a proper keeper training the kids. Great stuff.
