Klopp was pleased with his debut, going as far as saying konate "is a beast" afterwards. I saw one major mistake from him which was when he got rolled just outside the box, all he had to do was stay goal side instead of getting into side by side tussle and its not a problem. All these things will come with time and learning from the senior cbs we have. Very exciting prospect tho i agree.
So pleased for Naby, it feels like I was pretty much the only poster on here that was still supporting him
I was fair impressed with him, good turn of speed, very comfortable on the ball, strong, read the game well, passing was very good. Caught on a couple of occasions but Palace have a decent front 3 so it's to be expected on top of first start nerves. Very happy
I think most still want him to do well, but his injury record just made people lose patience. Taking up a valuable squad place while he constantly nursed niggles on the treatment table. You coukd see on the few and far between appearances that there was a good player on the pitch but his constant disappearance for months at a time just became more and more frustrating. I'd like to know what's different this season from the last 3 is it.
Nabys special treatment programme. I Think we should all just slow down a bit here, wouldnt be the 1st time he played well and then was out for months. Id like to see if he can do a full season before singing his praises just yet.
Definitely, if he starts the next match I'd be hopeful, but this is his usual purple patch before getting comfortable in the physio room for a couple of months. It will take a good run of games to convince me he's past his issues, but he's got more than a wiff of studge about him. Bit sore, can't play, not feeling right can't play, always something holding him back.
This is somewhat of an exaggeration. Nabys longest spell out was Dec 20 2020 to Feb 18 2021, which I suppose just about amounts to 2 months.
Sorry, playing two games then missing another week, the a game, then a month out, then a sub appearance and and two weeks out, then 3 games then a month out. I thought that was a bit to wordy.
