Who though? You'll get wilder and then it'll be wilder out within a month.

The thing im trying to say is that Mike ashley will not sack Bruce until its too late and whoever comes won't be good enough.

I'm therefore pinning all my hopes on Bruce getting a win next week

What we do know is Bruce is not getting the results. I’d just shove him in a bin. Let Jones have a couple of games without Bruce.

He's not, but if he doesn’t we're going down, so I hope he gets them.

Was listening to a little bit from 5Live this morning covering NUFC's "plight". Was interesting, two of the guys involved in the chat had both worked with Bruce and both said the same thing, that he's basically a stuck-in-his-ways dinosaur who only ever plays the same way no matter the club or personnel. In the sense he likes to defend first, from the 18 yard line, not press then get it forward quickly. The amount of things wrong with this approach are astonishing, but the feeling from those ex-colleagues was that he will never change. Stands to reason that he must, must go before anything will work. All the pundits felt Newcastle - like Bruce's Villa - had better players than the stifling tactics he plays and that it's just a very bad fit for the club.

We're in an impossible and disgraceful position. An owner who couldn't give two ****s about the club he owns, content for Bruce to be a punchbag rather than being concerned that he isn't competent manager. So will he go? Not likely. The costs are too high and Ashley doesn't want the problem anymore, he wants to farm it all off to someone else but every day nobody buys the club is another day closer to a very likely relegation. Then again, Ashley's a gambling addict so he'll enjoy the thrill of the gamble, which is all this is to him.

The sensible option would be to get him out and go for Martinez. This is, of course, the stuff of fantasy because the ****ing bellend owning the club isn't going to bother his arse with something so ambitious.

We're at a pivotal junction in this club's future, everything hangs on Ashley going.

I agree, but Martinez wouldn't come here and Ashley won't try to get anyone.

I will put my house and everything I own on Chris Wilder.

The problem I have is twofold - 1) Wilder's also crap, 2) there's no takeover if the club takes on a hack like him.

I'm taking plenty of shots for my position on this, but the reality is I've accepted the fact Ashley won't sack Bruce 1. before it's most likely too late and 2 that' it will be a **** replacement anyway.

I've therefore pinned my hopes on Bruce getting the 40 points

I’m with you on the former, but on the latter I couldn’t give a toss about surviving. Means nothing to me.

I like being in the premier first and foremost.

It's a sad state of affairs but it can get worse

I personally don’t think it’s justifiable for a Mike Ashley owned club should be in the PL.

The fans deserve to be. It's a fantastic fanbase a terrific ground and still 50 years on from it's last trophy still the 9th most successful English club.

We've got to help keep this club in the premier league.... Look at clubs like forrest... That could happen here if we go down.

Sunderland have a better owner and we have to get a new one too... That say will come and it could be soon.

The bad news is that it’s not the fans club.

I agree, but soon a new owner might come in and push the club up the premier league over time.

I've reached the point where league position is irrelevant to me. Consider it cleansed if you like.

I just want to be in the premier league.

Right now that's all I care about.

Been thinking that for best part of 20 months. I feel a frozen song coming on.

Even if Bruce miraculously stays and keeps us up there is more chance of him staying for another **** season.

Sick of the sight of him more than anything else.

And for what purpose. To say we are in the Fixed league. Where we are there as perennial whipping boys for the masses? No thanks!
