I'm not against Islam or Muslims or any other religious faith but I wish they would put their beliefs in context.

Four Lions is about 4 muslims who get easily brainwashed into becoming terrorists. Its funny as though, they are utter idiots and it makes a mockery of the whole terrorist mindset.

They mainly blow themselves up and thats it. Worth a watch if only for the laughs.

Anyway, muslims to some people are beyond questioning. In my views anything that needs so much protection but causes so much harm should definitely be questioned. Nothing racist against it. Have muslims got something to hide? I mean we in the west have put up with increased security because of the threat posed by some muslims when in reality anyone who is not muslim could question these security methods and ask why are we getting checked but we dont. We get on with things because we have nothing to hide, nothing to be ashamed of.

I suspect a lot more muslims than the liberal media would have you believe are anti western in some way or another. Doesnt mean mean they all want to blwo us up or shoot us dead but I would be very surprised if they sang our praises.

A common name for us westerners is 'white devil' something used by many races over the centuries which these days is a little ironic considering the amount of black, asian, latin and other races who live, work and fight for countries in the west.

The thing that makes the west undisputibly better than the rest of the world is the fact in the west you can find people of all races, all faiths, all working side by side which just doesnt happen anywhere else. Yes in the past, people who have zero connection to us other than they were white and western did something's we are not proud of ( they did many things we are proud of ) but their actions changed the world.

Those of us who dont fear the liberals or the muslims ask these questions because we have a problem with a backwards thinking group of people, many of whom celebrate western suffering like its new years eve and many of whom have no interest in becoming part of a modern, freer world.

They should take the example of Egypt but I fear the evil regimes that are spread across the middle east and arab world will not stand for this and the threats of violence and death will soon appear.

At that point these people will beg for UK and US help and then spend the next decade moaning about it because a few people died. Its a ****ing war people, what on earth do you think happens, soldiers come dressed as clowns handing out daisys? I dont think so. People die but in the end there is a goal. Work with us and we will reach it, fight us and you dont stand a chance.

Only 100 years ago the British would of simply taken full control of the whole region, enforced our rule and got on with things. Now we are trying to work together with the people in Iraq and Afghanistan but it seems some are ungrateful. Well sorry but in this business if you are ungrateful you die.

 

That is imperialism at its worst. Do you know why Britain doesn't have an empire any more? Its because either the locals were sick of us being corrupt and imposing racist policies or our own people decided that what we were doing was disgusting. We are not a paragon of virtue you know and you shouldn't be so narrow minded about the whole issue.

 

I was making a pretty obvious point that we are not the same britain we were 100 years ago. we have learnt from our mistakes and are trying to do right now.

thats all, wasnt in anyway making it a good thing. Just that Britain today is not the Britain of 100 years ago. The same can hardly be said of much of the middle east ( minus the names of the lands of course )

muslim extremists use a religious excuse to hide what is obviously a political motive. they just put religion out there to justify the cause.

islam is no more vicious or brutal than any other religion. i know well a couple of young muslim guys and they're nice blokes.

then again, i'd probably be just a tad pissed off if a group of people were suddenly given a lot of my land and then kept taking more and more.

I'd go further than that. Religion, politics and nationalism are all just used by people to get what they want. It was Catholicism in Northern Ireland in the 1970s, nationalism in the Falklands, "Democracy" in Afghanistan and the second Gulf War, right back to Christianity for the Crusades. People latch on to whatever convenient excuse they can find to justify their behaviour. Hell, British colonialism was supposed to be "spreading civilization" to the world. I don't ever remember the world asking us to do that...or thanking us whilst we nicked all their money and shot them.

Islam itself is no more vicious than any other religion, but the one thing it does have is an ideology that is easily bent to violence by people who stand most to gain from inciting violence.
