The enemy of my enemy… even if fans did grab the attention of the media I can see it just being spun as NUFC supporters griping at ‘lack of signings’ … if the press have ignored the takeover circus so far then it’s because ‘they’ don’t give a **** about the bigger questions of fairness, openness and integrity at the PL, quite why that is is beyond me, a decent journo would have half a chance of making a career out of a semi thorough investigation of who knew what and said what and when. But not a single murmur. It’s as though NUFC earned some global pariah status when we weren’t watching and now the only people that love it are the voiceless fans. If no one reports what we say, and then misreports what we might do, the whole effort dies on its arse. Depressing. Don’t start a fight on Friday though Roy, whatever you scream as you go down it’ll just be “shameful scenes as drunk Geordie fan lashes out in Ashley protest”
Takeover rumours back already. Talk is there's another takeover and it's not an exciting one. If they've got a couple of billion and want to have a go that'll do
Who this time? Im sure it’ll eventually be Redball. They’re the only ones who have a deadline Mike can’t do anything about so if they’re the only bidders he’ll have to accept.
No idea but apparently its a lesser deal. Tbf it's always going to be lesser, but how much lesser? Pallotta, the Americans, Kenyon would be my 3 picks, but it could come completely out of left field. I'll take anyone ahead of Ashley even if they have less personal wealth.
Kenyon would be my guess. Sure someone said that it was from someone based in USA who had been in negotiations previously.
I think degrossa bought elsewhere I hope it not them. I don't think Ashley will sell to just anyone though I'm sure if someone has the 300 Million they'll have a good enough amount of clout.
There's still some talk about these indian dudes coming to Newcastle and Ashley being in Newcastle. I don't believe any of that it doesn't make any sense to fly here to buy the club. I suspect the only hope is still the club winning arbitration and everything else is utter bullshit
In other news, guess which PL club have just been named in a legal case for using a solicitors firm to make 3rd party payments for players in 2011?
I doesn’t surprise me but I don’t think it will have any adverse effect on us. We ain’t done anything wrong but the solicitor has. It just involves the transfer of money using the solicitors bank accounts which for the purposes of football transfers is not allowed. But still an opportunity for the media to drag us through the mud.
Unfortunately Mike's bringing me bacon. In particular its one of the perks of managing this unique club
