Nobody is happy being safe are they.

always be the anti vaxx brigade who moan about safety measures and then will moan the hospitals are unable to put them on a ventilator when they get covid. nothing better than an anti vaxx story ending in them begging for the jab

Can't say this is the same for everyone else but for me personally, i enjoy working from home. Just roll out of bed, when theres downtime put the tv on/play some games.

On the otherhand, i can say my productivity and just getting it done (especially showing users stuff) has gone straight down the pan and it's a bit of pain in the arse.

I'm still one of the best performing in my role but things just slower in general is my thoughts.

I have been here a while (5+ years) but i'll be moving to a new job in Oct so we'll see if i can stick to my routine

I see we're verging back into the territory that if you don't believe one thing, it means you are completely at the opposite end of the scale, there is nothing in between.

Won't be long before parents not wanting to inject their children with a largely unknown vaccine are deemed anti vaxxers. Which is, of course, bollocks.

The irony in all this, and something that's not been ever explained by the BBC (other ridiculous news outlets are also available), is that giving the vaccine to children is only 'protecting' or 'making safe' people who've otherwise refused it.

Because kids don't need it. This has been proven. They can also catch, carry and spread it, even if vaccinated.

The BBC (etc......) have told us this often enough.

So, who the **** is vaccinating 12-15 years olds protecting, if it's not those who haven't been (refused) vaccinated?

Because everyone is other wise double jabbed, right, and errr, protected.

You are one sick mother fkr fair play.........now covid may be a biggy for you but many are dying out there not from covid but because of the rules from covid.

Same with kids now.....the only disruption caused by schools missing numbers was because of a set of rules that decimated the numbers through isolation.....now the say the only way out of it is for kids to take the jab a jab which that they don't need.

Be careful who you trust because I can tell you the people feeding you the bullshit wouldn't spit on you if you was on fire.

Think it's more that people don't enjoy living under house arrest. Especially the young, who like to go out, see friends, travel etc etc.

Not everyone can spend hours posting on not606 :p

We already are the antivaxx scum dude.

You got guys on here saying you don't have the jab then you don't get the same freedoms as me..........its turning into medical apartheid and the vaxxed and non vaxxed should be fighting this abuse together not fighting each other like the brexit divide the nation style tactic

Allowed totravel 5k from your home, or out to a protest.

Lets be honest, did you follow lockdown guidance here? It's clear that many didnt as numbers never got to Aus levels for death/infection.

From March 17th to aug 1st 2020 I didn't leave the house due to guidance on CEV / transplant patients. Plus I worked from home for 18 months luckily and was super productive. Rather see people restricted a little on movement than in hospital dying personally

would happily see you gasp for breath, you know how vaccines work, they train the immune system. Thats why only 1% of deaths in the first six months of this year were from double jabbed folk.

620, all in the later stages of life. Simply check the facts

1st lockdown yes, 2nd lockdown mostly (might have popped to a friends house once and visited family a couple of times). 3rd lockdown yes until February when i started visiting family.

Been wfh and i've never been one to go out and hit the pubs/socialise much so unless my family were spreading it to me, i felt mainly safe to visit them.

I think what we will see is people making choices with their employers, somewhere in between. Where people spend part the week in the office and the remaining part at home. Mainly I'm talking about non customer facing jobs. The postives from this will be a better home/worklife balance, less people commuting, so more space on the tube and trains. The downside will be less call for long leases on big office space, and less profits for public transport. The first, I couldn't care less about the money men, the latter, our public transport has required a overall for a long time, over crowded trains shouldn't be the way ahead for the future, and more lateral thinking as we move out of the fossil fuel age.

It's not me that's running out of time dude......renal problems has got you very vulnerable.......I know I watched my father die from it.......not a great way to die either tbh....took him about five days to actually give up in the end after years of treatment and fk knows what was in his head if he could hear the family around him.....must have been scary knowing the big blackness is coming.

Tragic illness caused by side effects from arthritis tablets he was taking.......so please don't play with karma fella because it's not a pretty site lying in your own **** with the only fluids allowed are a dab on the lips with a medical sponge.

yeah, definitely positives in what you are saying. All the commuting is nuts and crap.

My new job is 3 days in 2 days out to begin with. i'd have preferred the other way round but it's a happy medium.

I'm fortunate that I don't have kids between 12-15 to have to make any required decisions. I've got a very young grandchild but for me, the decisions lay with the parents, I don't understand it all enough to go round poking my nose in. I also don't have the will, want or energy to want to have to think about this let alone argue an opinion on it. In short I have great trust in my family to come to competent decisions -the good side to that is I can just put my feet up and watch the fall out on the topic.

Exactly this Bobby. That was my end goal (opinion) in everything that I was saying. We know favour is always going to slightly edge in the employers favour, but as you say, it's a happy medium.

Oh interestingly enough, on the flip side, i've just had a friend move jobs because of stress.

She joined about a year ago into a new industry but they've been full time work from home. She wasn't able to learn properly and get the correct training because of the full time wfh so shes switching jobs back to job similar to the industry she was in as this job has too much stress because she feels like shes winging it.

A happy medium should be what we should strive for.

You choosing as an adult to not take the vaccine is completely different to parents decisions over their teenage kids. The 2 aren’t linked for me.

As for medical apartheid ****ing lol, all I said was I couldn’t give a **** if you as a deliberately unvaccinated adult were allowed entry to a major sporting event or not, as I don’t. As it is, a clear lateral flow test is sufficient for entry anyway & you know this, so save the ****ing victim hood.
