please log in to view this image I wonder if we should have a not606 meetup there? Another thought, although this is just a B team game, I suspect tickets might sell out because it is the first B team game, is at a small ground and is fairly local.
Don't worry, I dtected your irony and thought it was a witty quip So uh..... is anyone actually considering going to this game? By the way, I am actually really excited about the prospects of having a B team. I think it could provide some entertaining games, opportunities to see some of our better players not in the starting 11 for the EFL Champ, will provide great workouts for a) unfit players, b) rusty players, c) young people seeking first-team-like experience. By the way, since we seem to be going with 1 striker in the main league, I am sure we'll see either Austin or Andre Gray in this B team match. Amos is likely to play. As is Dunne. Possibly Dozzel as well?
It's about a 10 mins walk from Ruislip Station. It can be a bit of nightmare parking. My youngest grandson plays for them in under 13's team.
There must be some sort of parking there? Even if it's one that I have to pay for? But I'm actually confident that surely there must be some free parking somewhere, seeing as it's not a place that people tend to go to willingly
I think the next person to spell Andre Gray’s name incorrectly should be made to sit in the Brentford end...!
There is parking, but loads of dropped curbs. I know when my grandson is in a competition there it's a nightmare.
Austin maybe not, seeing as he already has 75 minute fitness at his best! But Gray could be used to get him into match fitness and to get him well rehearsed with the QPR system. Because... the B team will definitely be closely using the first 11 system.
I'm at the "stadium" now. Had no issues finding parking. Loads of spots without restrictions. From what I can see, Amos is the only senior player here. I think Joe Walsh will start in goal. McKenna and Gubbins are here, I think. Two fringe players. I'll be honest, this is a lot more of an u23 lineup than I thought it might be. I thought there could be a few seniors who need game time, possibly like Dozzell or Dunne, even if for 45 mins so they could make the bench this Saturday. Is anyone interested in me making a few notes about the match?
Amos looks like a senior player amongst youngsters, which he is. Composed. However, he's captain and quiet as a librarian. We're sort of rushing too much with our play, I think because we're a bit intimidated by Brentford. 1-0 to Brentford. We've had a chance or two. Interestingly, we're playing four at the back. Which begs the question: what's the B team for if not imposing the senior team tactics.
Not enough CB's!? I'm a bit surprised Dunne and Dozzel aren't given a game there. Maybe they will play Saturday.
I find this a bit strange. It's basically an extra fixture / friendly for the u23s. We're not playing much of the senior team tactics. Not passing out from the back and building. Didn't start with 3 at the back. It just seems pointless to have a B team it this is what it's used for. However, maybe it's early days and is still being organised with senior management staff.
