Good win but Forest poor second half. Positive subs made all the difference.

    Taxi for Hughton?

MM gets out of jail thanks to super subs.
Why oh why didn’t he start Colwill instead of Bowen (who was a lamb to the slaughter)?
The quality of Moore for the second was class.
7 out of 7 at Forest now

Good win for the Bluebirds. Interesting that the last few minutes of Sky’s commentary was akin to an epitaph about Hughton. Agree about the taxi BFB. There’s no hiding place from the TV cameras and I think an announcement about his departure is not far off.

Subs made a huge difference. Great 2nd goal. Mark Harris had a good game as well.

That must show MM they way forward. Bowen and Collins are not good enough to start in this side right now - Bowen not yet, and Collins never was. The difference that Colwill and Moore coming on made was dramatic to say the least.

It's difficult to criticise after the win, but what worried me was after the second goal we dropped back far too deep and invited them on trying to see the game out. That may be a cool textbook way to preserve the lead but Forest were all over the place at the time. They were rocking. A 3rd would have killed them off and that was definitely on.

Yes I never understand teams playing deep holding a slender lead - the best form of defence is attack.

You can only play/beat what's in front of you, but ffs Florest were poop and any performance against them is going to look good.
Hopefully, we can give you a sterner test on Weds.
btw Scull and bfb, the Arena is a cashless ****hole now, thanks to Wasps, so don't bring money but it's my round for Pete and Andy anyway. meet in the Casino about 7?

Hi Robbie It looks like I won't make it. Martin (BT) who I normally travel with has been unwell. He is on the mend but doesn't feel up to travelling to Cov and back on Wednesday. Sorry, hope you and Pete meet up, have a pre match beer and enjoy the game. <ok> <cheers><cheers><cheers>

With Ralls and Bacuna out id put Sang in midfield. Its not going to happen of course.

A big positive is that Harris is getting better each game.

Is that as well as Vaulks and Pack, or instead of? Replacing Vaulks would do it for me.

Having said that, I'd like Sang to resume at RWB - I thought NG looked a bit ragged yesterday. Maybe needs some more game time, but he's not making the huge difference he did when he first came last January.

If we're going to stick to a back 5, then it's Sang and Bagan as wingbacks for me at the mo. I don't know where else you can play Ng which seems a waste of the abilty he does possess. Any ideas?

Given the attacking players we now have, its a central playmaker we need to get the best out of them.

Can't see MM changing from a back 3 but a change in formation might get us there.
Giles, Colwill and Harris behind Moore could be quite a handful in a 4231.

It's actually piccolo - and its' literal definition is "something smaller than the average size"........cue Masky.

    Id replace Vaulks with Sang.

I thought Ng started poor but gradually got better.

View from Radio Nottingham (the same media source that said they'd bought Whitts <doh>) about the game :-

"The players were clearly trying on Sunday and took a deserved lead with a good goal, but ultimately got bullied by a big Cardiff team, especially when they tired in the second half."

    Really?

It was a poor goal to give away and Grabban took it well albeit a deflection, but did they deserve to go one up at the time?

Also, did this "big Cardiff team" bully them in the second half or was it just that they were very poor?

Well as we know, Radio Nottingham and it's followers only deal in FACTS.
They taught Trump how to do it too. Fact.
