So are we supposed to invalidate one of the most fundamental means by which we can understand the universe because of some tortuous logic? And why is objectivity a symbol of white supremacy?
I agree with you that calling almost everything racist can be entirely counter-productive. It engenders apathy at best - or worse, a hostile backlash - and genuine racism is taken less seriously. Unfortunately it seems that some of the self-appointed arbiters of right and wrong are themselves guilty of divisiveness and a desperate need to appear "holier than thou". Then, rather than entertain objections to their ideas they just double down and claim you must be racist because you disagree with them.
Extremism takes many forms, most of them ugly and unhelpful.

Back to my Amazon issue. Spoke to one advisor earlier a few days ago who said the refund would be in my account yesterday. Didn't happen. Spoke to another advisor yesterday who was pretty useless and wanted to arrange a phone call, I just said I don't want a phone call, I want the refund, he kept asking for more info so I ended the chat. Tried again today for the third time and the refund has now actually been processed and confirmed, still have to see if it materialises, but very poor. These companies easily take your money but if you need help or want to get money back from them it's a painful brick wall of bs.

They can be a nightmare to get money back from. That's where bring ankle to use PayPal is better, claim your money back and PayPal chase the seller instead.

It's funny... 15 years ago Amazon had such amazing customer service. $5 Package late? Here, have a $25 gift certificate. Received the wrong colour shirt... Keep it, let us send you another.

Nowadays they are total crap compared to how they started.

They are too big and now.move from.gain customers to cost efficiency and productivity.

That means they want to hold money as long as possible and sweat the service staff as much as possible.

I bought a power bank through them and the digital display was faulty. They agreed to a refund but when I filled out the form it said because there was a lithium battery in it it was classed as dangerous goods so I should contact customer services for instructions. I did, and they told me to keep it and they would refund the cost - which they duly did.
This is in marked contrast to PC World who are doing my ****ing head in over a laptop that broke within the warranty period. Once this is sorted I'll never set foot in one of their stores again.

Find with a lot of big companies they don’t really care about getting the product back. Prob costs them more money dealing with the incoming post than it does to resend something out.

Had same with next at my old place, ordered some clothes, nothing turned up 2 days after it was meant to be delivered so they just resent everything and said if the other package turns up just keep everything. What happened.. they had delivered the original to flat above mine and person was on holiday so sat outside his door for a week and ended up with duplicate of everything.

Good luck if you order from Sports Direct and the delivery fails to arrive. SD use Yodel for deliveries and the are equally shocking when it comes to customer service. Took me me about 3wks to get anywhere when they lost my order, I was on the phone to them both (kept blaming each other) every single day!

A lot of these companies expect pilferage with drivers and also expect forged signatures if they can even get any so they accept a level.

Sports direct are shockingly poor and should be out of business

Tbh wouldn't ever order anything from them anyway. If you want sport stuff go to pro direct soccer, much better.

strangely buying tech and getting service has gotten worse and worse and worse.

Its the biggest growth area but the hardware margins have dropped massively to the point where you are absolutely to the bone.

there are so few options out there to get your hands on a good device thats actually working right its ridiculous.

scrappy knock off sports gear and trinkets off the net you sort of expect poor enough service.

Dell used to be good at build your device and get it delivered but the screens would take weeks as they came separately. these days its the lap of the gods with most companies whether the device is working right at all, or the thing is half out of date etc etc.

I don't tend to order sports stuff but I do use Sports Direct because the main national distribution centre is only up the road from me, massive amount of choice!

Not quite the same thing but I've noticed a big difference between the supermarkets and how they handle home deliveries. Waitrose give you short dated items
Ordered an iPad from Tesco Direct a few years ago, got loads off with the vouchers. It never arrived. Rang them and they replaced it straight away no question.
