In the course of one post you have said we never change tactics, then question why we changed tactics yesterday. This is the problem, too many people are just saying stuff to be negative, not actucally saying stuff that makes logical sense.
What do you want him to say live on radio ? He's not good enough. His success is winning the League 1 title. His failure is his record in the Championship. That suggests, to me, that he's a solid League 1 manager, but not good enough for the Championship. Warnock has one of the best Championship records of any manager in English football, but I wouldn't say Warnock is good enough for the Premier League either. Hope that helps.

But none of that makes any recognition of the fact that he is the manager of your football team. It seems that fact doesn't encourage you to wish him well in any way, which I find bizarre. So no, it doesn't help at all. It makes me very confused about your motives.

please log in to view this image Warning this thread has a black and amber Poodle alert - ffs - played 6, won 1 drawn 2 and lost 3 and the poodles are out screaming doom and gloom - McCann might not be the most inspirational manager we've ever had but after last season he's earnt the right to give it a go this season - at least the team appear to be playing for him at the moment - last time we were in the Championship it looked like some of the players simply downed tools and thankfully they've now gone - it's much too early to criticise him this season, would we do any better with a new manager - personally I doubt it, we're lacking in quality which costs money and the owners are sticking to a reduced budget which by their own admission is mid table - it's going to be a difficult season but if we can manage to stay in the Championship and keep some of the younger talent we might have something to build on

I've already explained that I don't think he's cut out for the Championship. I've been consistent in thinking that; even after we won the League 1 title and before this season started I thought that, but I said I hope he proves me wrong. I also said I'd give him until Christmas until I'd start calling for his head this season if we're in the bottom three by then, which I think is fair and patient considering his record. If you want to kiss his arse and wax lyrical about how he needs time to settle into the job 2 years into his time here, that's your prerogative.

A prime example of armchair manager-itis, where backing the team is secondary to liking the managers tactics/formation*. This has become a creeping national ailment, aided an abetted by too much Sky watching where every fart gets over analysed. Kudos is gained by correcting or criticising the manager's tactics or posting 'my team for Saturday' selections. (*Alec Guinness's masterful performance in David Lean's magnificent film 'The Bridge over the River Kwai' is a good example of this. Guiness's character becomes obsessed with building his bridge and his focus is no longer on fighting the Japs, just proving to them the quality of British bridge-building skills.)
