Could we come up against our nearest and dearest next season?

Looks like the best chance of that for a while! Might be too early to bet on it, but I certainly wouldn't bet against it.

But I'd prefer it if they came down the season after - the one where we go up from the championship :emoticon-0136-giggl

We’re odds on for promotion and the mags are almost even money for the drop. 3/1 chance we’ll be playing against each other next season, very short.

if they keep the key players fit (ASM, shelvey, almiron) they honestly should have enough to survive the drop again, although nowt is certain...the only reason i am happy for them to stink the premier out a while longer is that if they get stuck in the championship for a season or two they are more likely to find a buyer, should cashley lower his price accordingly, but if he holds out for his price then it could be a long, hard road back.

I would prefer just to avoid them for all time. Nerves are shot for a week before the game.

I hope we get them in the 3rd round of the FA Cup. It's generally men against boys when we play them and I honestly think we'd give them another going over, now.

Shelvey is an absolute waste of a shirt and appaling player.

They want to hope he misses games cos Bruce will pick him every time he’s fit and he will do absolutely nothing.

this may be so but for some reason they really seem to miss him on the pitch and their worst results seem to happen when he is out

I don’t think that’s the case at all like. Most of my pals who are Toon fans can’t stand the kid, he plays 3 good passes a season and the commentators spunk over him.

He’s got no heart whatsoever. The highlight of his career is the Arsenal fans singing ‘Harry Potter, he’s coming for you’ at him while he warmed up <laugh>

really?... maybe i am seeing something not there then, i do not rate him it just seems he is a bit of a 'talisman' for them, many a game he looks more of a passenger than a participant and it always surprises me when he is out and results start to go wrong for them...or maybe his replacement(s) are even worse.

Hayden seems to be the one they miss a lot, and him and Skeletor there missed similar games last season.

They are shocking in CM full stop, Willock is a great addition but they’ve no solidity in there.
