I’ve said his finishing was poor. He had 10 shots ffs not rocket science. But im saying every thing else he did today was very good.

 

Comfortable win. Shame about Elliott - I didn't see what happened clearly, but Mo was obviously distressed by it.

 

Someone posted it a couple of pages back

 

He had more shots than the entire Leeds team - but unlike them he did manage to put one away.
He's playing better than he did at any point last season as far as I remember. I think he's taken a long time to fully shrug off the virus, but seems to be getting there at last.

Good win, but Elliots injury clearly took the wind out of our sails. It looked like a clear leg break so being young he should recover ok, but will be out for the season. Last season we should have bought a CB after Lovren left and didn't. This season should have bought a midfielder after Widji left, but didn't and today we lose a midfielder for the season.

 

This is what Neville described as a "robust challenge" and Dion Dublin described as "innocuous"

 

This shows how bad an injury it was, not for the fainthearted!

 

Got to admit, I thought this after ther injury too although I'd argue Thiago was Wijnaldum's replacement

 

I see Salah told him not to try and stand up!

 

Very good game enjoyed most of it, but for obvious reasons the final part was a bit more somber.

On mane, he's always been the same, he hasn't a clue what he's going to do until he does it. He's always thrown his foot at the ball.

If anything he's over thinking it, feeling the pressure and not just doing what coming naturally.

His overall play is fantastic, everything is still there, he's just tense.

 

Yeah the bottom part of his leg was hanging loose and swinging like a snapped branch after that, really grim.

 

Very noticeable that when he scored he just went on autopilot as he had no time, other chances he dithered and ran out of time.

 

He did. Harvey saw it was broken but for some reason went to get up, probably shock

 

Thats really soured for me at least what would have been a great result.

Deffo out for the season if he can come back at all.

Said earlier that the Leeds tackling is border line reckless (the whole team), they like to fling themselves into tackles and when it goes wrong it causes injuries.

In this case, the Leeds player throws himself into it and despite coming away with the ball, any contact he made on Elliott was going to cause damage.

 

Agree there I think it has got to the stage where he is trying too hard
Also I think he is in competition with the other two which is making him tense
More he relaxes the better

 

We still have keita and Minamino

 

I think this an example of the new rule being exposed
But injuries happen
It’s a Part of the game
Just hope it’s something that can be mended
