I didnt think at the time it was a bad one. I didnt see the contact just the committed effort. When we see it again it probably is a twisting injury.
Poor guy. Hopefully if anything is broken it’s a nice clean break. Could be a dislocated ankle? Either way he’s out for a long long time and fingers crossed no long lasting damage
They are not fully developed mate. I dont think at 18 all your bones are fully fused even but I could be wrong.
Fact is the Leeds player jumped into a sliding tackle, may have got to the ball but he was going into the tackle with the wrong momentum and wrong position
Was thinking it was probably something to do with muscle build. I can tolerate broken bones etc but not when it's legs, feel sick!
Hopefully the blood supply and nerves are ok but I presume the skin is broken so it's a 6 months minimum here.
I still say wtf were alisson and Matip up to. Tossing about at the back and ending up lumping it leads to the ball dropping there.
Feel for the lad. Establishing himself in the team ahead of the likes of Chamberlain and Keita and now gets those opportunities taken away
yeah was poor but also good pressing from Leeds. The forward (bamford?) cut out the ball wide and Matip didn’t give an angle straight on.
