Doubt it. The IP address says Isle of Man, so unless KPR's moving up in the world...

Either way, have asked syd to warn / ban him from our board. So just ignore the problem and it'll be gone soon <ok>

It was something along the lines of "We've won two more ECs than you so we are two times as good". Mathematically ******ed as well as a cock, maybe he's KPR's sistercousin? <laugh>

Hate to say I told you lot...<laugh>

We had just started to open them up a bit more easily before the first goal. It was just a bit of movement and we ended up with a 2 vs 1.

For all the Sky commentators incantations that we had a really tough time, they didn't create any big chances, even the 10 minute spell after Vidic was sent off, it was just all huff and puff.

I don't think we were that poor to be honest, I'd say it was a typical United European away performance. Kept decent possesion and built pressure slowly.

I agree there. Galati were pretty good at keeping it tight but not threatening all that much, a bit like Schalke were last year. Good to see we didn't panic - I think you could tell there was tension in the players cos they knew they had to win and were expected to stroll it. But European away games are almost never that simple, and like UIR says the three points are the important thing. Let's see how the return fixture goes at our place!

Also good to see Benfica beat Basle - if we can beat Benfica at home we should still be able to grab top spot in the group.

P.S. Did anyone see City get out of jail with a last minute goal? They were on their way home for a second there... :D

3 points in the bag so that is good news.

Anyone know how many games Vidic will miss.

Yeh I was happy they scored as I put an accumulator on before and at that point I was set to win 80quid but coventry got a late equaliser in their game just after. Twats.

That Vidic red card should never have been a red, damn ref. It was a pretty average performance from United and Carrick was probably their best player which says a lot. There was far too much giving the ball away and against a better team they would have got slaughtered.

Not a great game to watch but a good result. I thought Anderson played really well and Carrick wasn't too bad either.

Carrick, Anderson, Smalling, and Evra played well. Chicharito played pretty decent although he didn't score, but he isn't going to influence the game much with his build up play so it didn't really account for anything. Valencia and Fabio were both terrible, I don't think they've recovered from the Barca drubbing. Nani was fairly quiet by his standards but we looked most dangerous when he had the ball. Almost had that late goal that went off the post.

Surprised to see no wingers on the bench. Normally we'd have the likes of Giggs and Park on the bench, but when Valencia was obviously having a shocker we need to switch Nani on to the right and put another winger on. I think David de Gea should have gotten a game on the right wing, couldn't have done much worse! <laugh>

Glad we got the three points though. <ok>

You are probably right about their confidence being knocked, Valencia maybe too concerned with his defensive duties? I'm certainly concerned that Valencia never seems to want beat his man which is especially frustrating considering the pace he has. I thought Fabio was going to come off injured again, he and Rafael seem very susceptible to picking up knocks.

Hopefully a majority of their injuries are growth related, they're both still 20, or 21 so their bodies haven't completely developed. If they're just injury prone, at least we have 2 of them! <laugh>

I'm sure a good surgeon can graft the injury free bits of one onto the other and vice versa so we end up with one that is always full fit and one that is perma crocked <ok>

Pretty subdued performance overall but job done.

Vidic's red was a bit harsh but I can see why it was given, foot high, studs up, and late.
The ref seemed to lose his head a bit in the 2nd half and became very card happy.

Two stonewall penalties despite some muppets claiming the 2nd was a dive on McNumpty's blog about the City game.

Finally, how bad are Alan Parry and Davie Provan - cringeworthy commentary all the way through.
