Special mention to the comedy moment when their lad took a shot, we blocked it straight back into his face and down he went. <laugh><laugh><laugh><laugh><laugh>

Sunderland supporter behind the north stand goal about 12 rows back threatening to knock a fellow supporter out, what the **** was all that about?! Just after half time this was.

My first home game in ages today and first game of any type in nearly 2 years. Some thoughts having not read the rest of thread:

    • winchester tremendous. Looks like the best right back in the league. If we had signed him there we’d be raving.
    • Dan Neil is just way too good already. No point talking about potential, the lad wouldn’t look out of place in the championship now. We need to enjoy him whilst he’s here because he could be going to a top PL club one day the way he’s going.
    • Neil’s goal was obviously great but in many ways the second goal was better. The way the team recycled after it looked like Embo’s chance had gone
    • It’s easily the most entertaining side we have had in a long long time
    • Stewart’s legs are about 10 feet long. He gets on the end of EVERYTHING
    • I like LJ and we got a massive 3 points, so it’s a minor concern. But I wasn’t a big fan of Wright on for last 10. Basically invited pressure. What we needed was fresh legs on the wings to stop their wingbacks which were the main outlet. But LJ knows more about football than me and we won so I should STFU
    • Lack of subs on a hot day when O’Nien and McGeady seemingly blowing from 60 mins on was odd. McGeady a bit of a passenger for most

Agree with pretty much everything you have said. My take on today when I was walking out with my dad was.....we have a lot of very good footballers and when a team has a lot of good players they usually win a lot of games.

Very good to watch, great attacking intent and it's exciting to go the games again.

That would just be an added bonus. Wins are all that matters.

Although I agree with you I believe we have learned how to win fouls in this league now. O9 is a class act.

How good does that table look man? I must admit I was quite shocked to look down it and see Sheffield Wednesday and Rotherham in 12th and 13th… I knew they’d dropped points but I didn’t realise it was that bad. Ditto Portsmouth.

Is that the first time McGeady has started on the right for us?! I do think Gooch is better on the left than he is on the right, mind.

Thought we played well today, still are bedding in but to have 5 wins from 6 is a cracking return . Hoff was a tad undercooked but will be the better for it, will need to work with the defence and build an understanding. The rest of the team continue to make vital contributions as we move forward. Should have been a more convincing win imo but we're creating a hatful of chances.:emoticon-0159-music:emoticon-0159-music 'We're top of the league':emoticon-0159-music:emoticon-0159-music

Finally got a chance to look in here after getting back from the match.

we look a very good side in this league. Both of our goals were very well taken. Love our home grown midfield long may it continue.

accy we’re time wasting from about the 40th minute and I’m shocked the ref didn’t do more to stamp it out. Also thought the ref was utter turd.

    another big 3 points though.

I would let them interchange although I think either one or both of them need a rest.
