Outplayed for much of the game and toothless again but credit where credit is due they hung in there and battled .. definitely a point gained that, one I'd have been happy with at the start, so looking for the positives. Ingram head shoulders m.o.m and the defence did well, looked better when M. Smith came on, but we need to find some creativity from somewhere.
Thats 5 games without scoring.....and previous '1' was against Wigan in the EFL Cup... worrying times... on another day we'd have conceded 5.. next week is important... need a result against Blackburn, because I can see next Saturday lunchtime being unpleasant...
A very good point, restricted them to shots from outside the area, Greaves and Bernard excellent as was Ingram. Never a bad result getting a point and a clean sheet away from home.
Well done the defence - which consisted of most of the team. A couple more years off my life but worth it to disappoint that co- commentator. Definite penalty my arse.
No point is to be sniffed at as a newly promoted side in this league. Sounds like we defended pretty well, but as stated above, we do need to start offering a threat going forward
Just checked back..... 11 shots on target in the last 5 games... this all comes back to being too light and too lightweight... and we know where the 500k buck stops...
On the other hand we scored as much away as FC scored at home which is something which doesn't happen very often.
No doubt the usual sad little angry bunch of rugby apologists will be on your case for this Nilled at home- does that happen often in rugby?
I thought we were, a proper backs to the wall, give em' nowt away performance against a club who expected us to roll over, and we could have snatched it at the end. An away point at last season beaten Championship Play Off Finalists is not to be sniffed at.
