I'm in 2 minds. Gasly made a mistake and is effectively punished for it. It also has potential to mix up grid.

 

Too much of a gimmick for me.

 

Sprint races really not working well for Hamilton, are they?

 

Was an absolutely dire start from him.

 

I can seem him recovering much without pit stops. Not sure about sprint races either, if you fluff the start you are toast.

Tell you what, Ricc and Norris P2 and P3 could cause some headaches for Max if they beat him into turn 1!

Good result for Macca! But Max's starts have been great this season, so he'll prolly come out ahead.

Dammit... Why did Bottas have to change engines? My prediction would be looking good.

Well, that was dull. Put actual qualifying back on the Saturdays, please. They took a track where overtaking is hard and thought a race with no trye strategy would be entertaining.

Got to say that Mercedes have utterly botched this weekend so far. They've got a huge pace advantage and they're starting 4th and 20th. If Max wins tommorow it's a disaster for them.

 

It was pretty pants tho... And really, what it's likely achieved is ruining the main race tomorrow by removing a potential Hamilton/Max fight from the front.

 

I wonder if it's worth Bottas using another new pu for the race? Maybe that would be too expensive to do within budget cap?
