This should be for Wiz, not me. I have let it lie, I didn't start it, as I, you and @oneforthebristolcity agreed we wouldn't!
I don't really care to be honest, at least NP didn't mention our identity or I will have to bring back the players I can trust, but didn't trust when I dropped them over a month ago.
It wasn't that he can't be referenced, it was mocking, abusing him! We can't erase him and not mention him, but it doesn't have to be in a mocking derogatory manner.
What I have liked regarding our situation and NP's involvement......He's not gone in, all guns...although with funding being an obstacle, had probably little choice. But we have retained the core or the quality players that we had along with bringing in players and using the young ones we had, most seem to gel ..... it does appear, of what I've seen so far to be a better vibe or understanding amongst the players, certainly an improvement off the ball too from last season..so NP must take credit for that IMO. But as I've said on many occasions, it's early doors and each game will give a bit more clue on how we will progress..fulfilling SL's promise!
I also suspect he blew a fair chunk of his budget on the wages for King and James, so had to take a hit somewhere?
If my memory prevails we agreed not to mention his name, I suppose that included initials, Jiffie, One4 and myself have not mentioned either, I will continue to do that if I don't see others in the mix. Edit - I have just noted that ' No sarcastic digs ' was also agreed, none of us has been guilty of that from what I have read recently.
I agree fully with this. NP knew exactly what the lay of the land was before signing on the dotted line for 3 years, but obviously a) liked what he saw b) accepted the financial restrictions and c) thought he could improve on what had gone before and the bottom line is that is what ANY manager who signs on any dotted line has to accept 'the hand he has been dealt' and most managers do sadly some fans don't. All I would say about the retained core is several owe us far better consistency big time like ODowda, Wells, Palmer, one good game in six is what we have accepted in the past but it's not acceptable and several others need to prove their fitness like DaSilva, Baker and Williams, if not they can all go as well. The key now is home results and that has to be addressed and quickly. We have played well enough but not taken our chances and that has to change. I am looking forward to seeing Weimann operating as a striker tomorrow.
Big game Saturday. The lads have had a rest after recent wins at Reading and Cardiff Now time to start putting the home woes behind us Up The City
Really? maybe James but King was unattached and almost certainly going to be on the scrapheap with loads of other players out there who normally command big wages and money was saved on Baker's and Weimann's wages plus the 14 or who have left, I would say our wage bill has shrunk significantly.
I agree, but so has the wage budget I suspect, at least for this season. Come next summer, providing the world normalises and the club starts getting revenue again, SL will back in NP in Jul., I'm pretty sure of that.
I wish I had your confidence, I think it will take longer than that, maybe a lot longer to normalise, the good news is we are in a stronger position than most and maybe if SL's 2 planning permissions are granted, then maybe there will be new investors?
