Flanagans proved me wrong so far this season and taken me by suprise in how good he's been both defensively and playing out from the back. Long may it continue.

Be great to see Xhemajli, by all accounts seemed a major coup for the level, then got snapped before we got to see it.

We are very good at the back now, Flanagan is like a new player, it’s almost like he’s taken to Doyle with absolute focus due to his age, but Doyle’s ability has meant he’s been able to relax.

They have both been outstanding, it just reiterates that often the best CB pairings are just that, pairings.

We seen at the top last season with Stones, poor buggar was being linked with Arsenal, they sign Dias and they click and now Stones looks superb with or without Dias.

Not suggesting Flan is Stones but I always look at ‘would we sign this player now…’ as a progress marker, and absolutely we’d sign Flanagan as he’s played this season.

He’s never packed the heart or effort for the badge so I find myself delighted for him, never seen it coming.

Been very impressed by Flanagan so far this season. He’s looked an utter bomb scare at times previously but something has clicked for him this year and he is forging a decent partnership with Doyle.

Aye he used to terrify me, it’s how assured he looks that’s really caught the eye.

He was always solid overall but you always fancied a mistake was coming, and that was the fear. Whether it’s the coaching or just that he’s clicked with Doyle he’s like a new signing and he’s an expected first choice right now.

I've got a theory about Flanno. He has previously been deployed on the left side of central defence, but since Doyle came into the side he has played right side centre half.

He seems to be more comfortable and confident playing RCH. Let's hope it continues.

In his first season here he played RCH, with Baldwin on the left side. I agree with you though, looks a lot better on the right hand side. I know for Burton Albion he played quite a bit at RB too.

He went to the left when Ozturk started more games. Was never the same.

Funny how flanners always gets slated yet Noz who was a total liability at times was idolised. When Noz made a mistake it nearly always resulted in a goal against us.
Personally not knocking any of them. Loved Noz but flanners is a capable player who gets the odd set piece goal.
