It's been almost 30 years since he turned down Spurs, I'd have though you'd get over it by now...

Probably destroyed his marriage then, but I'm sure it was all for the best.

As recently as the early 1900s some physicians would place freshly killed pigeons that were still warm and sliced open and bleeding on the feet of death bed patients for all manner of illnesses. It was known as the treatment of last resort... Pretty much when doctors got the pigeons out you knew you were a gonner.

It was only ever the last resort because people knew it didn't really work, but were willing to try anything to prevent death no matter how unlikely the cure... And freshly killed pigeons had been a folk remedy for centuries... Despite people knowing it didn't really work for centuries.

I kinda feel like Ivermectin is the pigeons of the COVID age for antivaxers. They know it doesn't work, but they're desperate to try something... Anything... (Besides, y'know, getting vaccinated)

It’s a horse wormer ffs. Albeit a version of it is licensed in the US for human treatment - of guess what? Intestinal worms, and as a cream for skin parasites. Quite where the idea that it was a COVID cure came from I’ve no idea, but people without intestinal worms are taking it, and in the US they’re often taking the horse variant which is obvs a much higher dose. I’ve read numerous stories of the outcomes, they basically **** out their intestinal lining. But experimental vaccine and magnetic blood or something
