There are a few permanent traveller sites in villages around where I live... I used to live near one of them on a new estate by junct 6 of the M5... you used to get more trouble from the ****ers that lived on the estate rather than the pikeys.. But yes they are spongers but so are most of the inhabitants of most cities... at least the pikeys dont claim benefits or send their kids to school...

They do claim benefits. Well, some do anyway. What they don't do is pay any taxes whatsoever at all towards the running and upkeep of the country as a whole. We do, with gritted teeth half the time but at least we do. If they don't then they shouldn't be given free health care or any use whatsoever of our hospitals, roads, water, anything. If they don't want to contribute let them live in ****ing caves with candles for light and they can use leeches for health. The ****s.
The first job I had as a young strippling down here was on the site prior to the new viaduct over the river Neath forming part of the M4 connection. The ground for the enormous bridge pilons and stanchions on either side of the river were built into made up ground and so settlement readings and piezometer readings were taken on a weekly basis. It is right next door to a permanent camp. I go down this manhole to take the readings and the little bleeders are stood at the top with cans full of diesel and lit matches!! They were in the van, nicked a theodolite, tripod legs, level, the ****ing lot. Bastards!!!!!!!
haha bastards.... when we were kids we had a load of them set up camp at the top of our estate, the estate was not fully built so there were loads of half built houses... so we went an bought a truck load of fireworks, nicked drain pipes off the construction site and about 20 of us encircled the gypo site an simultaneously fired rockets at their caravans using the drain pipes as impromptu rocket launchers... threw air bombs at them... was hilarious at the time as the pikeys tried setting their dogs on us thankfully we were all on bikes so they couldnt catch us.. with hindsight it probably wasn't the best idea we ever had as we could have actually of killed them all if their gas canisters went up... would have been like the scene in twin town when fatty's caravan went up..
Not too sure I would really have wanted to be responsible for killing women an children.... though my preferred method would clearly be mutilation using a meat cleaver.. blowing them up is for wimps..
Dudes, the caravan site where fatty's caravan in Twin Town is, IS the carvan site where the ****ers robbed our van. The very one, the bridge above it is the bridge I'm talking about.

Yeah, that's Langland. Probably the most up its own arse, and worst, golf club in the area. Very local to me although I've only played it a couple of times. The beach there is our second home though.
