Works well. Hopefully secure qualification and be able to leave first team players behind for the long trip to Slovenia.
We need to finish top to avoid playoff games for the knockout stage so I think we will have to go strong in every game as those games will be against teams dropping down from the Europa league
The full list: https://www.uefa.com/uefaeuropaconferenceleague/clubs/1652--tottenham/squad/ I think that the exceptions at the bottom are because they were included for the last round. No idea what's going on with the pictures, though. Romaine Mundle? Yep. Harry Kane. Nah. Edit: Paskotsi and Devine aren't on the list, as they'd need to be added as first team players. They haven't spent 2 years at the club yet, so they don't count as youth teamers.
The club are charging adults £25 a ticket for the group games or a 3 game deal to members/ ST holders for £50. Whilst the package is pretty reasonable as it works out about just over £16 a game (I think £10-£15 should’ve been the general price), if you’re only available to attend one, paying £25 for the third tier of European football is pretty disgraceful in my opinion. Attendances were not likely going to be too great anyway I’d have thought, think they could be even lower now.
I am quite cautious about covid Although I have worked throughout I have avoided crowded places and enclosed places. I am waiting to see if everything remains safe before I go on trains/tube/dlr with huge crowds (have only done so when things are pretty quiet and I don't drive). I thought that the last home euro group game would be a good one for me and the girls to try if things are calm but it'll cost us £75 plus travel (£36 on travelcards) plus food and drink. Errrrr ... **** that! To put this into perspective, UEFA Cup group games used to cost £10-15 for adults in 2015/16 season. Even then we rarely got to 30,000 at the old WHL and regularly only got 26,000 attendances in previous seasons. The CL games at wembley in 2017/18 were sold as a block for ... £75 for all 3 games (£25 for each game). Not sure who is making these decisions buy tbh they are acting like morons. Very interesting that there are no figures available for the group qualification match....don't ever recall that before.
Yeah as someone who’s had Covid I don’t blame you taking things cautiously, ****ing knocked me for six, mate. Though once I healed up I still went down the pub, down the snooker hall, went to a packed wedding as I was best man and been the last two home games without a care in the world, I’ll never learn, lol. Yeah I’m peeved at the prices. I didn’t really plan on going to them if truth be told anyway but I think the club could’ve won some good will charging minimal prices to try and entice families and those who can’t afford to go regularly. Third tier competition should be no more than £10, with £15 being the absolute tops for a good seat. Whilst I’m hoping Fabio brings some much needed good fortune and decision making footballing wise, still feels like the club is so out of touch with fans.
Thought that so many times in the past 2 years tbh...couldn't believe the treatment of Paul Coyte last month. Effectively sacked with no notice ffs. It's like they know the price of everything but the value of nothing. Feel very distant to the club in all honesty. Just waiting for the next headache decision.
Yeah I know what you mean, lot of enthusiasm has been sucked out of it for a while. At the moment kind of feels like an obligation for me due to being a ST holder, more so than an actual hobby. And with regards to Coytey it’s been a shocking decision too. They’ve got the divvy who does N17 Live taking over. Last two league games I’ve barely heard him and he’s just got zero personality. Coyte would crack a joke and speak like a true fan when interviewing the legends/ celebs and you always got a “up the Spurs” at the end, this guy just isn’t it… simple as.
He was brilliant when Mwamba returned to thank the Spurs fans...it was very moving listening to the interview and Coyte got the tone just right. Then Fabrice walked over to the spot where he collapsed and knelt down. Something I will never forget. I get the club might have felt the time was right to move on (I think he was well worth keeping personally) but at least do that with some ****ing class rather than treating staff like you are the ****ing Wetherspoons owner.
I wouldn’t have minded if they binned him for someone good. Couple years back we finally got rid of that awful Spurs commentator and replaced him with Rob Daly who’s been miles better. But this is just a massive downgrade. Guy’s got zero charisma and zero interviewing skills. He’s just some ****, younger model who happens to know what YouTube is.
It's weirder than that, in my opinion, as they seem to get it right sometimes, then massively, utterly wrong with other things. The stadium itself and the pretty sensible pricing of food and drink is an example of the former. I don't know why they don't do it more often. It's bizarre.
I want to say the quali game got in the region of 20-30k but I have no idea where I remember seeing/hearing that figure. Maybe Ali Gold mentioned it in passing in a video (he would have been there covering the game so even though figures weren’t released he would have seen the crowd and they usually announce attendance figures during games on the PA, so I imagine he could guess a ballpark figure) but I haven’t seen verification. EDIT: on the price of tickets, while I would pay 25 on my own to go to one of those games, I think that’s coloured by 1) the fact that I haven’t been able to go to a game since late 2019 so would take any excuse to go especially as a one-off and 2) I’d only be buying a ticket for myself, so I totally see why the situation would be different for someone in your place. I’m surprised they’ve set it higher and given that they make a killing on the concessions, you’d have thought they’d make up the difference (and have a bigger crowd and better atmosphere) with more in attendance. Bit of a blunder there for sure.
I'm surprised that he's still just doing our stuff and Premier Sports, to be honest. I thought someone else would've picked him up by now.
