    Sure

But the conversation is about "why" does it mean Protestant?

So far it doesn't look like it does.

The reason we call Rangers Huns, Sevco New Huns, Hearts diet Huns, Killie wee Huns and why we sang "go home ya Huns to Man Utd" is...

They all sing the Rangers anthem "The Billy Boys"

So all "protestant" football clubs are called Huns by Celtic supporters but you think "so far" hun doesn't mean protestant?

This is why the "separate entity" excuse will not wash!

Man U fans sing the Billy Boys!

Man Utd, the traditionally Catholic club of Manchester sing the Billy Boys?

    Oh dear Mindy!

    Man U aren't a Protestant football club

Only Rangers were truly Protestant and they're dead now.

    Yes

A friendly at Parkhead I remember, Beckham was playing and only me and my brother bood him.

Man U fans started singing the Billy Boys and we replied.

If Rangers are dead and Huns are Rangers supporters why do Celtic fans call predominantly protestant supported clubs like Hearts,.Kilmarnock and Motherwell Huns?

    They don't

They call them wee huns etc.

They don't think they are 4ft high Protestants.

It's because these clubs fans borrowed from the Rangers song book.

    Oh ffs.

The offending word isn't wee or diet or mini Mindy. The offending word is Hun!

You say Hun donates Rangers fans but you call fans of other clubs Huns.

The courts have ruled that Hun is a derogatory sectarian insult!

Yet here you are, championing the right to use that sectarian insult against all sort of different groups of people whilst bemoaning the fact that some arsehole Rangers fans sang a song that the Scottish courts ruled was anti Irish racism!

Do courts rulings only matter when they suit your particular point of view?

I'm not arguing this at all.

I'm saying why is "Hun" related to protestant. YOU brought up other clubs.

Well if other clubs were full of Protestants why would we call them wee Huns instead of Huns?

I've given an answer to that that doesn't fit with your narrative.

You bring up motherwell but motherwell fans had a banner calling you Huns removed by police.

That doesn't fit your narrative either.

If you want Huns to mean Protestant tell me what it has to do with Protestants and why your fans used to shout it to Celtic fans?

What religion did the judge/sheriff think hun related to when he deemed it sectarian?

    Protestant

Why does the term "Hun" mean Protestant?

Why would Rangers fans shout "Huns",a term we are to believe is derogatory for Protestants, at Celtic fans?

You call Hearts diet Huns because you and your ilk think Hearts are a predominatly Protestant club. You don't call them diet Huns because you think Hearts fans are Rangers supporters.

    You've been floundering all night.

    Go to bed you bigot.

The only logical path for Rangers fans to be angry about "Hun" is that it denotes them as "German".

In other words it denotes them as "Not British"

Indy craving Aldo is upset someone called him "Not British"

    Lol

In fact the reason Rangers fans are called "Huns" is due to the local press calling them as such due to their fans behaviour during a friendly match in England, many years ago.

The Hun means protestant because you use it to denote Protestants. That's why it's sectarian ya looney

Rangers fans don't shout Huns at Celtic fans. We have all sorts of better sectarian insults for that

Hun has been deemed sectarian in the courts mate. The law of the land has decreed it illegal.

Thus the only logical path is,.those who use the term are sectarian bigots.

    Like wot you are.

Yet here is a thread from Rangers fans on a Rangers website saying, yes indeed, Rangers fans called Celtic Fans "Huns" first.
