Really disappointed with this performance. They had multiple chances to shoot before winning that pen and should have pulled the trigger.
To be fair we changed 11 players and it’s tough when you know you’ve won a game before you start. You would like to see us putting 7-8 past these teams but in reality that rarely happens nowadays.
Poor display, poor result - should have had at least another 3 goals against these. Having to bring Kane on was a deffo sign of lack of attacking threat. Should be very different on Wednesday night. Anyone got any idea what Mings was carded for?
all that passing across the back 3 or 4 was absoolutely pointless, might make the defences passing stats look good but it does feck all to help the team...no wonder the crowd started trying to amuse themselves, once the pen went in and we started moving the ball a bit quicker we grabbed a couple of quick goals. i have made no secret of my hatred of tappy lappy football, as far as i am concerned the opposition are welcome to keep the ball as long as they want, they are not going to hurt us from their own half and if all this passing about looking for the perfect pass/goal then why do those teams not win 10-0, far too much game play wasted p1ssing about.
