Guys please stop the bickering. PIF won’t be involved in the Newcastle acquisition, nor will AS. When we are taken over, which will be in the next four months, it will be US investors similar to FSG. That’s it, there’s no need to keep discussing this. Worth keeping an eye on who might then do it, but put any KSA thoughts and ideas of megabillions right out of your mind.
We don't really require mega billions because they can't just plough through like Chelsea and City. The buyer will have enough money, but will they want to win things or are they in it for just money alone... Thats the important thing. If there is another buyer they'll have to have a certain amount of clout to get the club in the 1st place.. Ashley won't sell to anyone that can't push the club on
I’d be delighted if it was Redball tbh. They’re the best investment bet of them all. For those who don’t know moneyball, the theory is get players who pay in percentages regardless of age or history. Great example is Rb would definitely buy Joe Willock, who’s effectiveness on a game in pure stats is significant, vs Dan James who would never be bought, who has relatively poor stats in terms of xG, pass/shot completion, etc. What we’d have to deal with is buying players like Glenn Murray and being happy with it. The manager would also need to buy into the philosophy, so you’re never getting a Benitez/Poch/Mourinho. More likely a Marsch or Potter type.
All talk of who's interested is really just guess work. Whoever it is (assuming there is another buyer) will have enough behind them one way or another.
W Would rather Ashley red ball rely on investors to keep money going in what happens if it stops they go broke
Its always the same though Jake, till they look at the books and see you don't have a pot to piss in onlymemories, then scarper as all before have done Thick as mince, read your own quote above. You said they all pull out after seeing the books. I said they had seen the books and didn’t pull out. So yes there is a difference dimwit. They saw the books and didn’t pull out.
The thing is Mike ashley has spent around 35 million on average over the last 5 windows. It's more about how its spent because the rules and landscape has been set up to prevent a club actually competing outside their current placing. You've got to get it all right
