Eight Championship outfits did not spend a single penny, whilst the entire second tier collectively spent just shy of 40 m. I hate to think what would have happened to Leeds had we not won promotion to the promised land! Is there a fairer way to divide the loot to avoid lower league teams like Bury facing extinction. please log in to view this image What is our true worth Below is a list of registered players. At the time, he was only 20, and had just broken through into the senior ranks at the Liberty Stadium playing only a handful of games. Even then, he excited the Leeds Director of Football, and Bielsa agreed. Orta told Sky Sports: "We detected first from the human eye, about the UK recruitment about Daniel James, that he would fit with our style - and Marcelo Bielsa totally agreed." "It's true that, at that moment, he had only played 14 games in the Championship and we were trying to find more accuracy. I asked for a report from a company in football analytics and in this moment Daniel James had zero goals and one or two assists." "They made a big report about expected goals and expected assists and they predicted he would finish the season with six or seven goals and eight assists, and it was a step that (meant) I felt more comfortable making that decision." "First was the scout - the eye - thinking this player can fit for us. But this report gave me more accuracy to propose to the board that this player can be a fit for January." "Then in the end what happened was (the deal) not finished and Daniel James didn't play for Leeds United. But I always have this report as an example of a good use of data." please log in to view this image

If we went down and had a fire sale then probably half of that.
This value of £225m is higher but all I do know it's only going to get higher still. I think our board and transfer dealings have been really good. we are buying young meaning players can only add value to themselves if they make the grade. even if they don't they are still sellable assets with there age bracket. Young talent is where the money is these days. you break into a premier League first team your virtually stamped as a £10m player. Nketiah & Willock both break on the scene but don't pull up trees or are firm fixture's at their parent club and are £20m players. From your list the only players I see losing value as time goes on are the older boys Ayling,Cooper,Forshaw,Klich. but most have paid there Fee anyway for the club. they owe us nothing maybe Forshaw owes us a season or two but you can't blame him for being injured. but I still think if we sold today they would make a tidy profit. The 2 Spanish lads Rodrigo 30 Llorente 28 Rodrigo was our highest transfer fee and has dropped in value but a good season would change that value again. Llorente if was sold now I still think we would make a profit. Everyone else has everything to gain in our Squad total. Phillips,Bamford,Raphinha are in their prime and value for these are soaring through the roof Who says these young U23 lads are not going to be the next Nketiah/Willocks of this world All we can do is sit and wait now and watch them flourish.
Serious Question our top 3 priced players at this moment in time. you have to sell Phillips/Raphinha/Bamford today what price would you say done deal.

Raphinha would be the easiest to replace, there are lots of talented wingers out there. Bamford would be hard to replace in our system what team is going to sell you a star striker. Phillips has proved how vital he is in a Bielsa team, I don’t see how it’s possible to put a price on until you discover how much their replacement is going to cost. Let’s just pretend we could get Declan Rice for £90m then that means £90m is the starting price for Phillips, if you feel Phillips is vastly better then we have to go upwards of that figure. I’ll be honest, I can’t think of a single striker we could attract in the Bamford mould
I'd be against selling any of our players, at any price, but for arguments sake Ivan Toney of Brentford would be an ideal replacement for Bamford and wouldn't break the bank either.
What a great day it is today. Got beer in the fridge, football on at 5, Rhinos 7.30 and boxing 7.00. Even a quick trip to the pub for a few crisp, cool ales.
Looks like Bamford could be starting. there could be a first cap for Leeds striker Patrick Bamford. "It's a special moment for him and for his family," said Southgate about Bamford, who scored 17 Premier League goals last season and has one so far this campaign. "We want him to do what he does every week with his club. He has settled in really well with the group. He hasn't had a huge amount of time to be able to train with us yet but I think he's got a really clear picture of how we like to play.
As a long time critic of Bamford I just want to say that I hope he smashes in a hat-trick today and cements his place in that squad.
