Anyone else think its a little dig at Steve Bruce. The club for the first time in forever reminding us and Bruce that he’s spent a fortune over the last couple of years on players.

When he’s not available for a response. He’s on his jollies.

That statement is an attempt to undermine Bruce.

Lol the pundits and journalists are going to have a field day with nufc fans though.

Essentially they'll see that Ashley is spending every penny he can and nufc fans complaining... They'll see that Bruce has been pressing for money.

Basically nufc fans have dug themselves into a corner with their witch hunt of Bruce and false claims regarding club spending.

    I’m
Not sure. Most premier league owners have invested vast sums of money into the clubs they own so they can then go and generate more money by buying players and improving standards.

If we where a lower league club then spending as we are ie self maintaining is fine.

This is where the myth of MA spending every penny gets old. He’s not actually spending anything. The club is.

He’s just taking the club for granted. He has a commercial cow freebie for sports direct for upwards of 10m a year of advertisement.

The press and media don’t appreciate and neither do fans who don’t understand that he’s NOT spending any of his own money at all.

Even Rio Ferdinand can go **** himself on that one. MA has not done anything for the club. And before anyone thinks they are clever by saying he’s supported it. He hasn’t at all. He’s loaned the club money. He’s NOT invested anything.

    AT ALL

He's spending every penny the club makes though..

Why should he throw his own money in to keep nufc fans happy?

He obviously feels he doesn't have enough to gamble on getting to the top 4 or even 6. He knows he won't get it back when it fails.

Unfortunately the money all goes elsewhere.ie other clubs.

The issue is how badly run the club is

You invest money into an investment to improve its value for yourself. He’s not done that. He’s invested nothing at all. Yet the media and stupid fans seem to think he has.

He’s bought and asset and spent nothing on it. And he’s expecting it to maintain pace with the rest.

****ing stupid: (I should add I mean him).

I refer to an old business principle. You have to keep investing in the asset to maintain its value and improve it.

By not doing so the value of the business remains static. While your competitors continue to improve and thrive.

14 years ago we where on a similar level. Now we are not: just think about why that is.

You flog a horse and that horse gets old. It eventually dies.

There's basically 6 to 8 clubs taking a bigger slice of the pie year on year and clubs like nufc are maxed out with very little opportunity for investment.

This is the reality and it's another reason why he can't sell this miserable club.

Newcastle fans can't seem to understand and accept that the clubs in its place and where its going to belong probably forever if they're lucky

aybe now but not over the 14 year period. He had the club at its prime (almost) and he could have done something with it.

He could have been selling it for 700m plus. If he had done the groundwork and infrastructure: he had the money. It didn’t need much.

Hes failed. Are you seriously officially saying he’s been a good owner and done the right thing?

He’s the only PL owner NOT to invest a single
Penny in the club in 10 years.

I give up if you don’t get this honestly I do.

The club was Haemorrhaging money when he bought it, so he had to trim the edges..

This idea Ashley should spunk his entire cash funds keeping us happy is an interesting one in my opinion.

The rest of the premier league are going to be ****ed one day because they're chasing the pot of gold at the end of a rainbow.

Like I've explained there is very little opportunity for investment in this club and that's why he's not going to risk losing all his own money.

What he could do though and this is my complaint is to run the thing better... Thats where the opportunity is now because its maxed out and still ****e.

When we finished 5th it was the ideal time for him to invest, if he had we could have been regular 6-8s. Instead we got Vurnon Anita only
