I think he's probably heard about another delay and Drawn his own conclusions, but I'm not buying this new buyer thing he's stuck on the end. Why on earth would that leak to him and why would he be stupid enough to leak it
The club has been readied for a corporate takeover. Saudis aren’t getting it, probably never were, but I’d honestly be surprised if there wasn’t a takeover soon. Details will emerge in drabs then overnight it’ll just happen.
Well I won't lie I wouldn't know what I was looking for in terms of readying for a takeover, but I did post on here that he seems to be clearing things out for a handover? Personally I think this Keith bloke probably does have direct contact with the club. He isn't a burnsie who gets less **** for some reason
Mike ashley has been very clear over the years on more than a few occasions that he would sell, but only to the right buyer who could take the club fwd. If a buyer came along they'd had enough money! even if its not mega billions it'll certainly be billions
Quick reminder lads; You can sell practically anything at any time should you wish to, everything has its price. Ashley wants his capital back, and imo he daren’t risk another full season of potential PL relegation, which will tie him to the club until you came back. He wants out, and is likely more motivated now, than he’s ever been, he’ll therefore lower his price if he has to & he’ll sell it. If I’m right, you’ll see some links appear to interested parties in the coming days / weeks, as it’s made known he’s open to offers.
He’s never said a word that isn’t a lie. He will sell to anyone who shows him the money and as long as it’s what value he wants. He wants out and I believe that part.
The club has been made increasingly attractive through clearing a lot of dead/expensive contracts. Willock was an asset we couldn’t afford not to bring in. The loan is being reduced, and it’s clear that the Saudis are no longer viable. PL still has massive appeal as per the recent attempt to buy West Ham so it genuinely now is a matter of time.
I hope that doesn't happen because it'll end up with endless bullshit stories about Nigerians, Mexicans, vince mcmahon local newcastle businessman, and even its done get the cans out, but there might be an issue. It stirs things up. I hope we hear nothing and then it's just done one day.
There’s only one thing or should I say person who would be able to stop such a takeover be the greedy bastard will probably do it again. Can I now say the PIF takeover has failed.
It's not officially off, but I've given up on it now. I'm past caring and I'm basically more hopeful another buyer has come along.
The debt is irrelevant as it’s Ashley’s and would be factored into the equity value. Running at or around break even over a span, makes your club a decent bet, the latent local support is huge & as clubs go there’s far worse options out there. It’ll all about the price now, and post pandemic Ashley wants some liquidity imo, plus I reckon he’s sick to the back teeth of it tbh. He makes **** all out of it and gets nowt but grief. It suits all concerned for him to take what he can get now.
M MA wealth in the last 12 months has nearly doubled if not more. He may want liquidity still you right. But he’s a greedy bastard and also a stubborn one. I said it months ago that the CAT case was about reaping lost value the PL created and I still think it is. Ashley wants over 300m for a club that’s probably worth half that now.
No, no we don't. The only thing that matters is a takeover. This club is dying and without new impetus will gradually decline to Championship mediocrity, at best. Not immediately, but eventually. We're losing fans faster than City in a League Cup match.
