I'm not, I don't understand what evidence he has for suggesting the story is false, especially as it seems to have been confirmed by this source: "According to Spanish radio station Tribuna Deportiva, Valencia will also pay a portion of Costa’s wages this season. They claim Costa earns €3m a year at Elland Road – around £45,000 a week – with Leeds continuing to pay half of that during his season on loan." https://www.teamtalk.com/news/repor...a-loan-exit-key-clause-signals-leeds-thinking
Not that I want to speak for him but I think he was making the point that all the click bait sites come up with something different for the same story, huh?
Not just click bait but fans forums too, one claiming someone he knew, was speaking to Costa at LBA on Sunday night and he told him the details of the loan
In this case though, both "clickbait" sites reported that Leeds are going to pay half Costa's wages while he's on loan.
Phil Hay says Leeds got a £2m loan fee and will pay half of Costas wages, so instead of having a £3m outlay in wages for him to block the bench we get rid and it only costs is £1m in wages which is a bargain. Hay also says Costa's agent Mendez will have a deal waiting in the wings for next summer for him to go for £10m to either Vilareal or elsewhere in Spain, either way hes gone
Maybe. Or other "clickbait" sites know nothing and have followed down the same rabbit hole (the idea is to get a lot of clicks). Suggest you go on social media, see how easy it is to start a rumour and have it as fact one day later. I'm not saying you're wrong just I have no faith this site will know **** all about how Leeds operate
Exactly this…. the far fetched one to me is the one Phil Hay is reporting, they’re paying half his wages but give us £2m loan fee? That figure makes zero sense. How many weeks are left, let’s say 40 weeks, multiply that by half his wage, around £22,500 that’s £900k. They might as well pay all his wage and give us £1m
...and just got lucky with a wild guess ? Maybe you need to be less dismissive of these sites and give them some credit ? Do you actually have any examples of them making a positive claim, about Leeds United, that turned out to be completely groundless ?
Yes, about 150+ transfer rumours so I’ll be as dismissive as I like thank you. I have no idea if they have got lucky with this.
