Morecambe beat Sheffield Wednesday today in the league which my brain stuck in about 2004 can’t comprehend.
It was barely 20 years ago Man City scraped a 1-0 win at Macclesfield in the 3rd tier, there's now 9 divisions between them...
Didn’t know this conversation was going on here….just said the same on the QPR thread….the bits I saw they look well beatable
They're going to be very effective though. Finish above either West Brom or Fulham and I reckon we'll be in the top two.
It seems to me that Fulham are far and away the best team in our league, but we are as good a bet as any to come second. If both clubs did join Chelsea and Brentford in the Premier, it would mean one fifth of the PL was in West London.
This. Brom might be ugly but know how to succeed in this comp. If we can keep pace with either, we must be in with a chance.
Only saw late last night that they scored at 90+4. Very annoying as would have been great to be second for two whole weeks! That's footie I suppose.
Quite happy to keep winning and bubbling along relatively unnoticed. Just need to take points of Foolham and Wet Broom to startle everyone at the end. It’s a tough season and as we know from Barnsley game we can’t afford to drop points. Feels as though MW and the coaching team will be on them all season though. Lots to look forward to. There I go again with that ‘hope’ thing. I can’t resist!
England look really good. Only one team even trying to play. Hungary just putting everyone behind the ball, at home. England just need to move the ball quicker in the final third. Very hard to break down a back 5 with another 4 in front. Chances should come as the spaces begin to open up.
