Ive already mentioned some on here before…it was ignored Strolls. An ageing population being one. A population who seem unable to look after themselves, thus clogging up the system for people who ACTUALLY need to see a GP being another. And let’s not forget the massive underfunding for the care and welfare system from successive Tory governments.
Yes, all of these will be factors (particularly underfunding), but I don't think they explain or excuse the way most GPs are behaving.
If patients don’t need to be seen face to face then what’s the problem ? We are in the modern world now Col….not the 60’s. What’s your problem with video calling and consultations ?
I suspect you're on the wind up now, as it's ****ing obvious what the problem is..... Patients not getting a timely diagnosis because they can't see the GP in person. Who can be sure that they don't need to be seen in person? There's no reason why they can't be now imo.
You haven’t actually said why I would always need to see my GP face to face, where a video or phone consultation would do.
Do you know what mate, you get incredibly childish on here at times. I have never said that every patient would need to see their GP face to face every time. What I have done is give you a very personal example of how these non face to face appointments can have disastrous consequences, plus there are more and more similar stories emerging. All you do is bang on about appointment problems that have always been there. This is a new problem since covid. Anyway, no doubt you'll want to have the last word so knock yourself out. We go round in circles.
So I’m childish ‘cos I don’t agree with what you say, eh ? I’ve asked you on a few occasions why many people have to be seen face to face, instead of other methods….you haven’t really given any and now resort to pathetic insults…..very adult mate. I deliberately didn’t comment on your personal ‘example’…..it of course would if ended in more insults so thought it best. Anyway, all GP’s are ****s, along with Tik tokking ambulance staff and greedy nurses….The Sun and Fred on Facebook say so.
I'm not criticising the precious NHS, just the ridiculous policy by many GPs. I'm not bothered that you don't agree, but you keep missing the point, so much so that I questioned whether you were on the wind up. You obviously never actually read what I post, as I have already stated that I haven't said everyone needs to be seen face to face, yet you keep on and on asking me about it. A little sympathy for my partner's mum would have been the norm, but I'm not sure why you think you'd get insulted if you mentioned it. I'm not even sure I'd categorise "childish" as an insult, but it's clearly upset you, so I apologise. Try reading what I say. Oh, and my GP has always been absolutely brilliant. I just strongly disagree with the no appointments policy.
You’ve obviously seen it.....was filmed in a GP surgery while 59, old ladies were outside in the pouring rain banging on the windows, trying to get an appointment
