Joining Norwich, possibily Wolves,as they lack goals. Would be wonderful in Arsenal stayed where they are. Although unlikely, it has happened to bigger teams than them, Manchester United in 1974, six years after becoming European Champions.
You are too realistic. Would be great if they could finish in the top 4 and the much fancied Manchester United misfired because of altercations between Pogba, Fernandes and Ronaldo!!!
I think City will win it fairly comfortably again. For all the talk of no striker who did they have last year when they walked it? Aguero for about 10 games Chelsea could run them close but can’t see any of the others being close at all. United should’ve bought a CM this window and Ole is not in the same league as the other managers at the top. Liverpool will be 4th
Magic is like that old Skate poster, Minging, who always posted a "Scummers going down" thread every season, he's our talisman... please log in to view this image
Agree about the composition of the top 4, but I think Chelsea and Man City will break away at the top. Can see Chelsea winning the PL this season, Lukaku will be an absolute monster and Tuchel has the measure of Guardiola. Reckon Spurs could have a decent season and push Liverpool and Man U actually, Nuno will get them performing above where they were with Mourinho and Ryan Mason.
From a review of “stranded” players on F365 regarding Leeds: “Helder Costa’s departure on deadline day represented the last piece of fat trimmed from a squad that looks bang tidy. Nobody still there could reasonably be described as stuck but we have to find someone and Forshaw doesn’t exactly look set for a bumper haul of Premier League minutes after a long injury lay-off. So him, then.” Bang tidy? Not many days ago there were people on here (or maybe SW I start to conflate them) questioning their squad depth. Especially with Phillips I know we are in a similar position in certain areas but have Saints fans missed something that has resulted in basically a completely opposite view on that website I don’t pretend to be an expert on the squad they have at Leeds so was intrigued
Yeah, I just don't see that. I see a decent enough 1st 11 but then just no proven quality to draw on in depth. Their pre-season and opening games showed a team that lacked quality and fluidity which shouldn't be the case as they've played together for so long. Dan James will inject some new vigour I am sure but there will need to be a few gems flying under the radar to keep them on track for another top10 season.
I think the top 2 will be between City and United and I fdont concur that OGS is a bad manager. Quite rightly he is beng given time. I believe Chelsea will finish third and Liverpool will fiish fourth. The relegation battle will probably be quite involved. Norwich will most likely finish bottom and I fanct Wolves and Watford to join them. Exepct Newcastle to be in their perenial relegation battle too along with Brighton and Leeds. Brentford will surprise people. What I do not expect is for Saints to be caught up in this and I think we will get over 50 points this season and finish top half. Just think that things will click for us this season.
If Chelsea don't finish in the top 2 I'll be very surprised. Top manager, arguably the best CF in the world playing for them now and most importantly, can defend well when needed. I think they'll win the league.
I feel like OGS is an assembler of talent but and probably a good coach but I don't think he's anywhere near the level of Tuchel or Guardiola. I'd back Ralph to get better results in OGS position. OGS at saints, working with Ralphs squad last season? He would have got us relegated IMO. I think Utd will be back in 4th, possibly 3rd ahead of Liverpool. Chelsea top narrowly ahead of City.
Ronaldo coming 'home' to win the title for Utd after their going title-less for yonks, well that's one heck of a narrative. Wouldn't put it past them (him).
