I didn't know any of that, so from what I have seen, he looks like he may do well for us. He's clearly got pace and a few tricks.
i agree, survival is the aim , most people are predicting wel finish 18th -20th , im only going a handful of places lower , its not like ive suddenly changed my opinion from title contenders to relegation. just not sure we have enough in key areas, in 5 games time hopefully things look brighter, just if right now somebody offered me a million pounds to correctly guess our finishing position- id have to say 24th. im not sure i agree about the top / bottom difference, yes there is in budget and cost of players etc, but as i mentioned a few posts back, all the pundits rave about the competitveness of the championship, how unpredicatable it is - this isnt going away to Man City or Liverpool where you expect to only have 20% possesion and hope to only lose by 2 or 3 . shouldnt be fearing anybody in this league, especially at home , whenever you watch the other sides who are expected to be down there , like peterborough they still have a go and look dangerous. Mccann is one of the biggest problems, can go on until we are blue in the face about people letting him down last time or whatever, fact is , his championship record is appalling so far, and does anybody really think it is suddenly going to improve massively?
I haven’t seen Hinds play, but his look reminds me of Clayton Donaldson, what sort of player is he? Tall, target man, pacy forward, or tricky dribbler?
He did okay until having the rug pulled by player sales in Jan 2020. We don't look like capitulating the same way so far this season.
We would only capitulate if we was up the top, we are not so we can't capitulate as we already doing that. Knew it was bad when we missed out on Pete Spudwhistle.
On a serious note the transfer that got me in the whole transfer window was Jebbison and why we never tried for him , there was talk clubs above were circling for him even couple prem teams and was valued at £5 million , i was shocked he went on loan to Burton he would have done well here.
The performances are of an entirely different nature now. They're working hard and putting bodies on the line. Guess we'll see after a few more games against rank and file opposition.
Why Regan Slater's move from Sheffield United to Hull City collapsed on deadline day Regan Slater’s bid to play regular first-team football in the Championship suffered a setback after Hull City tried to move the goalposts on his move to East Yorkshire, leading to its collapse at the 11th hour on transfer deadline day. By Danny Hall Wednesday, 1st September 2021, 4:48 pm please log in to view this image Slater was expected to be unveiled at United’s Yorkshire rivals on Tuesday after Tigers boss Grant McCann promised the Sheffield-born youngster regular football, which would not be forthcoming at Bramall Lane. Slater and his representatives hoped to seal a deal well ahead of tonight’s 11pm transfer deadline, after McCann and his employers had worked throughout the summer to put it in place. Slater is understood to have turned down moves to other clubs in favour of returning on a permanent basis to Hull, where he spent time last season and won promotion to the Championship by winning the League One title. United even structured the deal in a way that would help Hull get around their inability to pay transfer fees for players, because they took a loan from the EFL last season. The Star understands that the issue arose from Hull’s end of the transfer rather than United’s as they tried to renegotiate the terms of the proposed deal, meaning that Slater remained at United on deadline day. And to add insult to injury, the late arrivals of Conor Hourihane and Morgan Gibbs-White in the last two days before the window slammed shut pushed him further down the pecking order at Bramall Lane. Slater now cannot move until January at the earliest.
We've played 3 teams from the top 6? Mullered an established Championship side and lost to Derby(who, mocked as they were for their age, included 2 established centre halfs who we'd give our left knackers to have on the books).I see your post as negative and knee jerk nonsense!! We've got some really talented players in this squad and we are missing players at present...Once we get everyone fit and the manager can pick his best 11,you'll see a different proposition entirely.
No doubt reps from City side are blaming the blunts and vice versa .. if there was a will to get the deal done then he'd be here, we all know what Ehabs negotiating skills are like . tbh he thinks he is a hard negotiator when in reality he is just a shady back street salesmen who if ya shook his hand you'd be checking make sure ya still had all your fingers.
