I'd agree with that, maybe replace Petrov with Kakuta and you're sorted. Though I don't agree with it, that is what it'll be <whistle>

    WESTWOOD
    BARDO..TURNER...BROWN....OSHEA..
    LARSSON..CATTS..VAUGHAN
    RICHARDSON....SESS
    BENDY
Lets face facts boys he's not gonna play 2 up front. Move ricco up to play alonside sess, giving both a free role, behind bendy.
Bendy will do his job and with 2 fast paced players switching positions could be difficult to mark.

I'm sure Larsson isn't suspended. I remember seeing during the Sky Sports match that little yellow card come up with 4 in it...

Don't think yellows in the cup count..only reds.

Also very much doubt Bruce will shake it up... he's too soft for that.

    My team would be:

    Westwood
    O'Shea..Brown..Turner..Bardo
    Larsson..Vaughan..Catts
    Sess..Bendnter..Richo

    4-3-3

The top 3 will play brilliant upfront. All 3 can score, and we all know Richo is MUCH better going forward.

I wouldn't have Turner anywhere near the first team if I had my way...Since his injury he is just too slow...

Get ya boots back on quinny.

    19 October, 2011
    On This Day...
Niall Quinn made his final appearance for Sunderland nine years ago today.

Niall Quinn played his last game for the Lads in a 1-0 defeat to West Ham United on this day in 2002.

A crowd of 44,352 were on hand to see Trevor Sinclair score the only goal in what turn out to be Quinn's final appearance.

The Irish striker made a total of 222 appearances for the club, scoring 71 goals.

The West Ham game was also Howard Wilkinson's first fixture as Sunderland manager.

Well we all know selling Ferdinand was more or less a piss take, especially to those who bought a season ticket.

Just to put this into perspective, we support a premier league club in one of the best leagues in the world and we don't have any quality cover for the centre half position, managed by a man who was a centre half himself.

I don't really need to write this because the thoughts of the many upon the issue of Ferdinand are blatantly obvious. Selling Ferdinand was indefensible.
