Alex McCarthy signs new contract

Having listened to the TSP we also extended Jack Stephens contract ages ago (maybe even last season) and just never announced it.

 

What was the source Dan Sheldon mentioned for that ? Weird it hasn’t been announced but I don’t think we would have been starting him every game if he only had one year left and there had been no talk of a new deal

 

Can't find any evidence of either, both showing as contracted to June 30th 2022

Jack Stephens signed a 4 year contract and McCarthy a 3 year. Yeah Dan Sheldon said it's on the FA intermediary list or something like that.

He mentions it briefly on the most recent episode of TSP Episode 166. Skip to 39:05 if you are just interested in that bit.

 

Yes I listened but when I tried searching the intermediary list nothing I found mentioned players at all

I have no idea if it’s a publicly available list or not that he was talking about but no reason to suspect Dan Sheldon is making it up. Just strange for the club to keep it on the DL.
