Chadwick started for Linfield in their 2-0 win, but didn't score, and was subbed 60 minutes. Salem came on 90 minutes. Arthur was an unused sub for Barrow. James Scott played 90 minutes for Hibs in their 2-0 win, didn't score, and was subbed on 90 minutes.
Nahki Wells scored four. Not sure what he's doing with Brizzle's u23s because he's good enough to be playing regularly football in the Championship imo. We should've tried to get him on loan.
To lose a game where you are playinf 10 men for 88 minutes after being gifted a goal is humiliating. Nothing to do with the coaches as they are told to play Trialist A B and C. It's a pitiful effort however. Cartwright has conceded 11 goals in his 3 games this season. Embarrassing to say the least. He's been pushed ahead of Robson for the last year. Robson is a far better goalkeeper who conceded fewer goals (same games) for the u23s last season than Cartwright already had this season. Yet Cartwright is the one that gets pushed on. It's time for a rethink on this because this because this isn't not even a joke.It's a complete embarrassment. Not within a country mile of being good enough.
On a bit more positive note, though with quite a lot of U23's out on loan, their squad must be somewhat depleted, at least a bit of good news for one of the loaned players.
A good win for the U23's. Brandon Fleming got more or less a full game, and Will Jarvis on the score sheet again.
