No offense, but I'd prefer they sign Mbappe over you. Still time to steal him away from Real Madrid.

If you receive an email saying you have won tickets to watch Arsenal whatever you do don't open it, it contains tickets to watch Arsenal.

Playing Football Manager 2014 (last time I felt like paying money for it). Playing with 100% regens.

My scouts have just unearthed a 19 y/o right back named "Andre Cuthbert" with some impressive stats. To make it funnier he appears to be relatively injury prone. He also has a pretty high aggression rating 18/20. Reckon he might call all the opposition players ****hounds.

Don't really need him, have plenty of young promising right backs... But I would almost feel bad for not bidding for him.

I signed my Goalkeeper, Tony Bennett, partially on his name too. There were a couple of better options available to me, but c'mon, who doesn't want Tony Bennett between the sticks.

Close enough right? Don't worry, despite the Andre he isn't French. I'll call him Andy.

Andre "Andy" Cuthbert, born in London (sorry). Eligible for England or Jamaica. Joining when the summer window opens (it's still march).

Unfortunately for Andy there is another young right back also set to arrive at that time who goes by the name "Javier", goes by first name only.

Javier (18) is slightly better than Andy (19)... Andy will certainly count as homegrown when 21. Not sure if Javier will... Anyone knows the rules. I know it is three years in England before turning 21... He'll be in his third year when he turns 21. Will he count?

I did try once to lead a club form the very lowest division through to the top. I got southport from the lowest league possible to championship. then Liverpool offered me the job and ruined the run through lol.

a long time since i played that game. 10? years min.

the things is the more they added the worse the made the game. Yes add details but its not realistic to be playing with positions on a screen and expecting it to mean anything related to real football and I just don't think thats really much of a point. they didn't capture the agent and transfer fees well either. I wonder if the got in tobes as a consultant coudl they fix the fact you have t pay up front for transfers no matter what lol. you can offer increments as well but the computer wants its money all at once.

I do the Chelsea challenge. (Yes I know Chelsea were already in Premier League).. but take a nobody, give them a butt-load of cash and see if I can make them champions..

I take a team in the Skrill South (not sure if still called that) I edit the database before starting, give my team an absurd amount (this is 2014, so that's £300mill. And see if I can make my way from the very bottom of the pyramid in the game to the top.)

It's harder than you think actually. FFP kinda scuttles your ambitions somewhat so you can't spend like you're rich... But it means you'll never be poor either if you manage your finances... But money still leaks away, especially with a tiny stadium (mines been upgraded to 8000 seats). Even in 2014 the Chelsea challenge is hard.

It used to be easier when I first did the Chelsea challenge on even older versions of FM when FFP wasn't a factor. FM 2011, no FFP, teams used to sell wonderkids for nothing so you could additionally finance by buying kids and selling them as you go.
