I agree, but we are on a knife edge of getting ****ed over again this season. Fabinho gets injured, what do we do. Gini wasnt the best player in the world, but he was incredibly consistent and never got injured. However I trust Klopp to judge Elliott correctly. In January, we will lose both Mane and Salah to the ACON and we are up against it again. We are just a couple injuries away from another disaster.
No And we wont be. We were done months ago. FSG never had any intention of spending anymore than they had to.
They also manage to get very good money for their averse players. 36m abraham 30m zouma 25m tomori 31m morata 13m pasalic (who?) 40m matic 20m ake 10m begovic Then you have the 2-5m loan fees for players like zouma, batsuayi, bakayoko for the last 4 years etc.
Yeah but morata cost 70mil etc etc. The extremely useful sales of youth products they have loaned out constantly etc has certainly given them some lee way to hide the silly losses.
Yup but as learned from Tobes who says it numerous times, the outlay is split over the length of the contract, where as the income isn’t.
Well theres actual contracts between clubs, depreciation and all of that good stuff so every deal is different
Shows how much of a **** show Barca is at the moment. Why would anyone want to go there. Gave suarez away to a title rival last summer who then took Atletico to the title. Now about to give away griezman to the same team on loan with obligation to buy just to get him off the wages and signing Newcastle reject de jong to replace him. De Jong and Braithewaite up top. Bit of a difference from messi suarez neymar. Messi Henry etoo. Ronaldinho Ronaldo
The U21s got hammered by Rochdale tonight, so if we're relying on some of them to step up at times this season, probably best not to.
I've had a read through the last pages and I'm struggling to see how people can be happy with our transfer activity. It's like a battered wife being happy with a new partner because he doesn't hit her as hard. Because we where in the **** 10 years ago, we must now except that Brentford are more powerful in the transfer market than us. Fsg didn't bring us any crowns, Klopp and a **** load of luck did. I cant quite understand how anybody on here can be happy with how we are going about our business. If anybody questions it, they immediately get stuck with the comeback that they want to be debt riddled like utd or a plaything like city.
Yep, not ideal but it is what it is. Rather try and manage than get a Charlie Adam or Christian Poulsen! January is definitely concerning although I suppose we could sign someone ready to join in the January window, again not ideal though.
I don’t think anyone is ‘happy’. Think people just know it is what it is. Can’t change it so no point getting super worked up. I think we all would have liked a couple more signings but you know it could be worse, we could be signing random players and spent 130m on them and be no better than we were like arsenal and then have to do it all again next summer?
Also, if you’re ever worried about lfc, just think Barcelona have gone from a strike force of messi suarez and neymar. To messi suarez griezman. To messi griezman braithewaite. And now ended up with depay braithwaite and de jong… Things could be a lot worse.
