I’m not obsessed with anyone else standing I just prefer to. When my body is as old and decrepit as yours was when you were 23 I might also need to sit down…
5hey should have separate sections for people who want to act as if they are at the theatre and sit down with their flasks and sandwiches.
I remember standing in the south stand in the 70s v Bolton with darts and sharpened coins flying over my head from both directions. Almost got arrested leaving the ground for going around one of those stupid 5 foot high barriers at another game. Decided to go in the seats after that as I actually wanted to watch the football, rather than scrap.
Perhaps not if you were built like a gorilla and carried weapons. Please don't try to pretend that games like Manchester United, Stoke, Forest, Sheffield Wednesday, Sheffield United and Sunderland were not dangerous. There would never have been a police presence if they weren't.
You must be taking your life in your hands at the MKM as there are more police about than there were at BP. With helmets and riot gear unlike the police at BP who were in ordinary gear. Good job veryone wasn't like you as most of the ground would have been empty with City fans only in the seats on sides with an empty Bunkers and Kempton.
thats the sensible approach imo. i prefer too stand , but appreciate not everyone can, so i always do my best too get away tickets as high up as possible where the standing generally happens frustrating when you still get people asking too sit when you are up there. thats why sit anywhere away games always work out better for everybody, as everyone generally naviagates themselves into the best areas for them
I think Everton ask fans wanting to sit to get seats down at the front. Though whenever I see them away, unlike ours, they all seem to be stood up. We have fans who want everyone to sit down as they want to be high up. I have a cousin who lives in New York. We should copy what they do at the Red Bulls.. He sent me a screenshot of applications for tickets when they first opened. For the area behind the goal it said something along the lines of don't buy tickets in this area if you object to people standing, chanting and acting in a raucous manner as that is what we want them to do in this area. Don't bother complaining as you have been informed of this.
