Well, tbh, that's quite an exaggeration.

It's also fair to say that, based on previous comments, you're not best placed to lecture anyone on tolerance and courtesy ...

... you laugh it off as banter but we both know that's not true.

You dismiss my question as ignorance when I was simply asking who and what, that's typical of your sanctimonious attitude and quite hypocritical imo.

My current question is, are those who complained about us not spending happy now that we are. ...

.... if not why aren't they still complaining hourly as they were before.

There's no bigger hypocrite on this forum, than you. You have proved this beyond doubt, time after time.

I never lectured anybody on tolerance and courtesy. I just said some of the comments were out of order. You asked me to name who and which comments, so I did.

What do I laugh off as banter, what are you talking about. Can you give some examples for me?

You are ignorant. Always have been and always will be. You failed to move with the times on numerous issues.

I cba to pay attention to someone who goes out of their way to post deliberately provocative nonsense. If that makes me a bad person so be it. I've barely noticed said poster prior to this and if he has some sort of 'learning difficulties ' let's see where he posted as much. Or is this all an assumption by other posters as to his state?

There's always someone, on the internet, desperate to be highly offended and outraged on behalf of anyone they think might be a useful high moral high ground.

Any questions are answered by more questions, waffle and demands for proof ...

Some people spend far too much time being self righteous on forums and always claim 'many people' back them up.

The reality is that it's a handful of cronies who are of the same ilk.

Monty is one of us, as far as I can determine from his posts. He has in the past been attacked and accused of being all sorts of unpleasant things but keeps on posting, and after a while you will take his posts as you find them, and if so, maybe, like me, you might think in his own way he adds a bit of colour to the board.

Saff wasn't being offended on behalf of anybody . . . . he was defending someone that may have learning difficulties after other(s) suggested that they wanted now't to do with people like that . . . . and he's 100% right to do so <applause>

We don't know who is right or wrong, but everybody, as long as they're not deliberately trying to goad/abuse/attack others, has the same right as anybody else to add their opinions to this (our) board :emoticon-0148-yes:

His state hasn't changed one single bit in about 10 years that he has been posting on here. All that time he has been consistent and he's never changed his characteristics or behaviour.

I can't be bothered with people who go out of their way with the sole intention to wind people up, I doubt many can. If he has learning difficulties why does he need to post about it? There's also the possibility he doesn't see himself as such...

My grievance with your post was your direct reply that you couldn't be bothered with somebody with learning difficulties. Came across as heartless, you know?

    :)

True about Monty. I was a little offended on behalf of myself with the mental health comment, though.

Again, how do we (you) know he has 'learning difficulties'. Simple enough question.......

We don't, definitively. I've already implied it's just what seemingly a lot of posters on this board think after coming on here and seeing him post over many years.

I've answered your question the way you wanted it. Now, will you answer mine?

Why can't you be bothered with people that have learning difficulties? Simple enough question...

We don't know, Ned, but he may well have and most give him 'space' because of it . . . . he's been a valued poster on here for many years despite what he posts 'cos most of us accept him for being our Monty, and a little bit 'different' :emoticon-0105-wink:

He probably won't appreciate being discussed as in-depth as he is on here now, either, so perhaps we should all 'move on' :emoticon-0148-yes:

Fair enough, I'd say he was offended.

As you say different people have different opinions to which they're all entitled.

What I do know is that Saff's first comment on here was sarcastic, his second was laughing at Monty and deriding his comment.

Apart from that he's made no contribution to the thread other than having a pop at other posters.

That seems to be his modus operandi as far as this forum is concerned on past experience.

If he finds these comments so disgraceful he could simply report them but, instead, chooses to act the 'white knight' and get on his high horse.

And you've either deliberately or accidentally misinterpreted my original post. I cba with people who post deliberately provocative ****e, it's as simple as that. I think you've interpreted my "people like that" incorrectly. Unless you can find a post where I've explicitly stated I cba with people with (alleged) "learning difficulties". Over to you......

Just ignore him, mate. He's got a bee in his bonnet, again.

He couldn't be more wrong with his assertions about me with these posts, though.

I'm now being accused of having some sort of agenda against those with "learning difficulties" which I'm not having. Especially as no-one knows whether the poster in question does or doesn't..........

    Ah right, gotcha.

No, what it was my post is a couple of minutes after Gordon's.

His wasn't posted when I started typing so I hit 'post reply' and didn't see his post until it was too late.

    Hope that clears it up.
