thought the ref had a stinker but not nearly as bad as the linesman on the East stand side flags when the ball was in play saying it was out then doesn't flag when the ball was clearly out the Pen I thought he had won the ball in real time, but everyone is saying he didn't need to see it later but the double standards on the freekick awards where unbelievable, the ref cant pace 10 yards and it is becoming more like Rugby with all the blocking and barging I see the ref didn't use var for the swing of the elbow by the Southampton player, maybe because he didn't connect , but the intent was there and should of been punished instead the Ref bottles it and talks to 2 players, -- cop out
it's looking that way I get bits of information regarding refs and it's not good Var was supposed to aid the decisions but it seems the ref's are now manipulating it to suit their own i.e. Atkinson doesn't use it against West Ham despite it being a good tackle by Murphy and we are penalised with a penalty against us they used VAR last week at Villa against us in both the Lascelles and Wilson cases yet we see a different outcome in a different game with Bruno Fernandes (in both cases) 1) he's offside but they allow the goal to stand against Leeds - Wilson was less offside than Fernandes and called offside 2) goalkeeper takes out Wilson with a reckless challenge and only given a yellow (doesn't matter if he was offside or not you can still be sent off for a reckless challenge when the ball is not in play 3)Against Southampton last week Bruno Fernandes shoots, and the ball strikes a players arm from 3 yards away, no penalty - the Ball hits Lascelles arm from 2 feet away and a pen is given
After Saturday's games ToonMag is still top but is now closely followed by Cronemeister who played his Joker to great effect. HDQ managed to double up on 2 perfect scores (Aston Villa-Brentford, Norwich City - Leicester) to earn a massive 39pts from the first 7 games played this weekend (Breaking News he has just added another 6 for first scorer Son in Spurs-Watford game). Joelinton's Right Foot has another good Saturday but his fear of Jokers stops him taking first place.
You can't carry a standing order over from season to season. Its a new thread. Count yourself lucky I didn't apply a Joker Card and double it up to zero.
Update after first two games today: HDQ does it again with another 16 from the Burnley game. Cronemeister moves top with HDQ in 2nd.
