I agree with most of that But we have a good record coming from behind against 11 It defo sounded like Chelsea were the better side but it also sounded like we were getting a foothold in the game when we got the pen so I think it’s very difficult to say Chelsea would have gone on to win. Utd last season were literally a split personality from half to half so no real guarantees That’s why I think the red ruined what could have been a good game It just became a training exercise yesterday sadly but totally agree Chelsea for title Possibly Utd too And can’t write City off lol
Chelsea were the better team and would have won that game 11 vs 11. They looked dangerous every time they went forward and were controlling the game in midfield. They just look stronger and better than everybody else in this league.
No you wrote your words very cleverly so they could be taken a few ways, however, as you have stated above that you don’t believe it was a red it is not a ridiculous assumption to think that deep down you thought it was spawny also I never said I thought Liverpool would win when Chelsea were saved you just assumed what I was thinking bit like I have with you you are always a tad like you are on your period when it comes to ‘dem reds’ chill a bit
Fair enough Respect that dont agree like but can defo see where you coming from I do think City and Utd will come through though but we will see
Think it's probably the use of chelsea were saved lol. Seems to suggest chelsea would go onto lose if not going dowm to ten man. I never understand why people think its harder going up against ten men. Sure tactics might change but if playing against ten men is ever harder teams would begin the match with ten men.
Yeah I know I just couldn’t think of the word instead of saved I think I have been reasonable lol I have said repeatedly that I didn’t think we were guaranteed to go on and win however with a crowd in and the pen being scored you just never know all I was really saying is the red did kill the game without some sort of time machine or a window into a parallel universe we can’t tell As I said - it defo sounded like Chelsea were the better side but it did sound like it was changing Who knows lol ? problem with 10 men is most teams go very very defensive and concentrate on not conceding (rightly Tbf) rather than scoring as for starting with 10 Have you seen us when we start with the legend that is Divock Origi lmao
Was a penalty because the arm prevented the ball going into the net ... should not have been a red because there was deflection from his leg and (In real time) little chance that he could have got his arm out of the way (and it was not at an unnatural angle ... yellow. Good game ... both teams will contest the title IMHO (along with Citeh and, potentially United, if the sum of the quality components can be blended into an effective team).
My problem is people with opinions on the rules being applied in football games who don't know the rules that they're whining about.
FFS, it specifically details what happens when handball is used to deny a goal=scoring opportunity, in or outside the box. Is this a ****ing remedial class for ******s or something?
I think the rules should be changed to make it more fun, instead of; Red Penalty Suspension The opposing Captain gets to chose whether they want to take penalty or reduce the offending team down to 10 men. Only one punishment not two. The suspension rules still apply if they choose to send the man off, they don't if they choose to take the penalty. Yellow card rules remain unchanged. Seems fair to me.
I wouldn't argue too much about that, and said as such at the beginning of the season. There's two stand-out teams, then probably United, then the rest. That said, they would still have gone in 1-1 at half time, regardless of the sending-off. Just glad it was Havertz and not Lukaku they took off at half time.
